Bed stripped and airing.
almost-dry towels are on maiden which is in front of sunny open window.
Both washing lines full.
kitchen floor mopped because I brought mud to lower section so flapped mop over bathroom floor as it was wet. Mop not floor.
wastebins from bedrooms washed in mopping water. Must put liner in DDs if she's going to throw contact lenses in it.
left hand side of drive reclaimed from encroaching grass with aid of edging tool and spade.
observation - comments appreciated. Weeds esp grass between block pavers is easier to pull out if it has been raining...my guess is the grass is more relaxed!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

The appointment went well yesterday it has triggered many more appointments over the next days. DS 2 has received a 6 in computer science, 5 in maths & 4 inEnglish Gcses
His school wanted him to wait until recorded post tomorrow to find out but agreed to hand deliver them today due to the circumstances.
We have a worker coming at 2pm and they are trying to get the psychiatrist to do some of the initial work over the phone as her visit will be on DS2’ 18th Birthday.
There has been several incidents today that I had had to report. I have to bring up the college enrolment form again later.I have cleaned the bathroom, pegged 2 washes outside with matching pegs of course and cleared away some of the mess someone made in a rage in 4 rooms.8 -
Dancemum it sounds like things may finally be moving forward for you, I really hope they are, keep pushing for the help you deserve lovely xx
I can't believe I haven't got on here until this time. The day has disappeared in a blur of dog walks, laundry, rehoming stuff (& throwing an awful lot in the bin). Started to look at some old photos earlier and I must confess I binned loads - I feel like they burden me and I just don't need that in my life. By far and away the biggest item decluttered though was the car, yesterday to the scrap yard. It was t financially viable to keep it going. We can manage without one and have done before. Insurance cancelled and paperwork sent off to DVLA. I am happy as it's one less thing for my cluttered mind to have to think about.I feel really out of sorts if I'm honest. I need to pull myself out of it though as I can see myself turning into my mum and that doesn't end well. Tomorrow is a new day.
Hugs to all x9 -
More hugs coming your way, dancemum. It sounds like finally you might be getting the support that you deserve and need x
ASB - be kind to yourself, lovely. You have come so far this year, you are a star 🌟. We are all here for you. More hugs coming your way x
Downstairs dusted and vaccd, except the DR pit, as DH is still in residence. So many webs decluttered from the LR. Dead flowers binned, sorry looking orchid put outside for its last chance saloon. Second trip to the allotment, and brought home more French beans, some beetroot, carrots and our first sweetcorn to try. Filled 2 bags with weeds.
Just having a cuppa, then I will have to go take a look at the ironing pile to see if I can face it.8 -
I have attacked the border on the RHS of the driveway - my green bin is now full, in the main with valerian though there are other clippings in there. Washin on the line is dry and needs to be brought in. I need to make my bed, too.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Evening
Paid stuff finished, laundry all brought in and folded, bathroom swished over, spuds and veg prepped for supper. Menu plan and shopping list made for next week. DH will shop this evening after he finishes work.Have a good evening x8 -
Flitting in again, as I'm doing 3 days of the paid thing again this week. Fortunately (?) I've been asked to stay at home today and go in tomorrow to deal with queries from parents regarding the CAGs, appeals and whatnot, along with the utter catharsis of shredding around ten black bags of stuff. Seems that my overall demeanour has made me the perfect person to handle anybody angry, upset, unreasonable, entitled or all four. Also very glad to see that I'm going to be working closely with people I genuinely like/get on with again this year, as they aren't micromanagers/fussbudgets.
Himself has strangely cleaned the bathroom. Not done a bad job, either, although I'm not convinced he needed five different bottles of stuff to do it with. And the living room. Which is nice. And he's made a stab at chopping down part of the dead plant out the back.
I should probably get him to carry the vacuum cleaner up, as we've got new bedding tonight (first time in about ten years - I deserved a treat) and I want the bedroom to be dust bunny free for a change.
One more week of part time and then it's back to quarter to sparrowfart alarms, getting a bus a full hour and a half before I need to be there to ensure I fit onto it and making sure that I get my legal entitlement of a break during the day. Well, until the next lockdown, at any rate.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll9 -
Oh no. DS2 may be overqualified for his college course.
washing brought in. House wrecked again. I think I may have whip lash.More appointments made.
I will be cancelling our holiday tonight.8 -

For any who would like the plum cake recipe it’s this one... https://pennysrecipes.com/12455/plum-cake-recipes
I tweaked it a little and added a teaspoon or so of ginger, it needed slightly longer baking than the suggested time in my oven. Second slice is going to be eaten later with a cuppa methinks...Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️
