I'm not sure I even believe this thread is genuine.
That is SUCH a British comment.
It would look much more believable if the OP returned with the custard test and maybe an MX5 in the background
What about the Yaris?  That had brake issues too.  The RX8 really had issues.  It never seemed to appear in photos...
    Bits of it did.

It is very expensive to maintain even if it does not break down as i said earlier the brake pads are close to 600 quid if I recall rightly

Where do people get this rubbish from?  Brembo pads from Euro Car Parts are currently £75.89 with their usual discount.
What for an RS8?? I bet you they are not - post the link and if I'm wrong I'll send you 20 via MSE.  Then there is the fitting, etc - Adui will cahrge more than 600 for that car.

As above who on earth buys a 10 yr old car without a test drive.......only going to end up one way

Buying cars without test drives seems hugely common these days.
Almost every car we have bought brand new, or pre reg over the lat 20 years or so, never been in a similar never mind a test drive. But for older cars I would suggest you do but with older cars less warrnty and more to go wrong especially an RS8 -  nice cat, btw.

But that's for one without the optional ceramic brakes.
With ceramics, they're the thick end of £500 off the 'bay.

Based upon your list of cars in other posts, it is very odd that you don't receive any customer service at the sales stage...

Well yeah, you probably don't need to test drive a brand / nearly new car - it should be in good condition and be backed by a warranty.

People who buy older cars without even seeing them seem crazy, especially a suspiciously cheap supercar.

    There's two reasons to test-drive...

    1. Do you actually LIKE it? Is it comfortable? Do you enjoy driving it?
    2. For used cars, is that particular one in good condition?
