I reckon they have these slots so that they don't get so much pressure on actual sale day - the site can't cope even after they have sold most of the stuff they have! Last time the sale came around on Sale day there was hardly anything left in the kids sale and I think I got one or two pieces and it took hours to go through it all to get nothing - it was very frustrating and annoying. i did not get a VIP invite last time but I did this time. The thing is, as you have seen here people are just calling in and get their order anway so the VIP Slot counts for nothing and this is why there is no stock left. It would be nice if they rotated it between their customers so those that got nothing in one sale would be able to get something in this sale and only gave slots to certain people and only they could order. I reckon the best time to try will be around 1st jan when everyone has started returning the stuff that did not fit them and they put it back online.

I certainly didn't have time to run through the items before I ordered them on the sale sheet so I went through and looked at them on the pages. Took forever and I got thrown out as well so I don't know if I ordered everything that I wanted, I was just grateful to get something this time as my kids have grown since I last managed to get stuff, LOL!!

i just got through on order line and told i couldnt order should i try again or leave it only wanted a few items

I just phoned the 0844 orderline, said I would like to order from the sale list and had no problem. Managed to order 16 items (the other 17 items were out of stock), so about 50% success! The telephone person confirmed the price of each item as I was ordering them, and they were definitely sale prices. I had made a list of everything I wanted anyway with codes, sizes and prices before I telephoned, so I will check the order against that when it arrives.

I didn't have time to order everything I wanted yesterday because of the dreaded basket emptying gremlin, so tried to ring this morning, but after 25 minutes on hold, decided that life really is too short.

If they still have the bits in store at some point over the sale period I'll get them but it's really not *that* important.

The VIP sale was griefy, but still infinitely better than one memorable Next Sale I remember at Lakeside one December when me and my Mum queued for 2 and a half HOURS to pay. It was an utter nightmare :-O

There isn't a code this time. You either need a VIP slot to book through as that unlocks the sale prices, or you have to phone and blag your order through. No codes, period. I don't know why people keep asking for codes when the last 40-odd pages have all been about how there's no code this time.

Got a great bargain I think. A 19'' HD LCD tv with dvd player and freeview. Was £325, in the sale for £165.

Didn't get VIP slot this time. Been waiting for someone to crack code. In the end thought I'd try what some of you did and just phoned up orderline.
First time the lady started to ask me about my VIP slot and tried to transfer me to someone else. I'm ashamed to say I hungup.
Phoned back a few minutes later and another lady just took my order with no questions. I asked her to confirm prices and got my items at the sale price.
