In terms of whether they should just let everyone order at the same time - I think the reason they do the "VIP" slots is because their website would just not be able to take the traffic. They have enough problems with letting 500 people or so in each half an hour. Calling them VIP slots is just a way of staggering the traffic. Next don't really care who orders in the first day or first half an hour, their stuff still gets sold so its not really a reward in any way, just luck I think.
  • just called to add some things to my sale order as slot passed online and had no probs!

I havent got a vip slot this year :( first time in a few year but equally last year was a nightmare and as i complained i think they must have black listed me!

Is there no code thus year for everyone to get an order in? When does the real online/instore sale start?

Have just logged in for my 8.30 time slot. It seems to keep taking me to the listing, as there are no 'buy' buttons with the items. I have found the quick shop and it will take items on there - but showing them as full price, with sale price written in red underneath. Do you think it is safe to carry on? Anyone else had this?
    Thanks

Thank you sooooo much to everyone who suggested calling up!

I'm not a VIP but on the advice of some posters on here I rang the orderline and just said I'd like to place an order of sale items please. I did say that I'd received a leaflet with the sale items but I wasn't questioned at all. I think the lady would have put it through anyway even if I hadn't said this.

Anyway I got an order in, it came to  £287:eek: ! But I'm over the moon because I managed to get the stuff I've been after for ages for my little boy's bedroom (he's one now and still sleeping in our room because we haven't got around to decorating his :o ).

About half of the stuff I was after was out of stock but it was kid's stuff which I know is probably the most popular (girls age 3 and boy's 18-24 mths).

So I'd like to say a massive :T THANKYOU :T to all of you helpful people, I'm really grateful. I have gone back a few pages and clicked the Thanks button on certain comments that helped.

See you all at the Summer Next sale
