Ben thank you very much for your help but it was in vain online. I phoned up at 6.05 coz I was in a panic and eventually got through to an IT person who asked me lots of questions at 6.35.
For some reason even though I had a slot when I went on it didn't direct me through to the actual site where I could add things to my basket. It just went to the list. Fortunately they also let me do my order over the phone and I had written most of my stuff out. I had already put a lot of it in my basket but it was still showing the full price. They advised me not to use this as they said it would charge me the full price.
So I did my order manually which is good but means I miss out on quidco which is a real bummer. They've also given me another slot for tomorrow at 11pm in case there is more I want that I didn't get a chance to look at but I'm sure everything will be away by then.
I also tried G50 to see if it would work but as I'm being recognised as a non VIP it was showing full prices still.
Good luck everyone else - they mentioned it might be something to do with Vista???? Anyone else had any problems getting logged in or was it just typical it was me?

I phoned the old order line number 08456007000 and got through within 3 minutes, spoke to an indian guy and said i am trying to complete my vip sale order my internet has gone down, he said ok and took all my item numbers etc.
After the first item i double checked the price to make sure he had done it at sale etc n everything went through fine.

this worked for me to... i called earlier- was told no slots left, i then called up again as per someones message on here (sorry forgotten name but thank you to that poster) and said i was told to call back at 6.30 to put my VIP order through and it got taken. I lost the call half way through (thanks to my little boy playing with the phones!) called back and again managed to finish my order.
the wait time on the phone is long.. but its worth perservering

Warning - if you try deleting some items that are sold out from your basket, the basket may crash and empty. It did to me
and had to start all over again. Just leave them......it doesnt hurt.
This happened to me too - slot at 6.30, at 6.45 I'd quickshopped 60 items, then it emptied my basket and I had to re-log in ARGHHH!
Few bits out of stock by the time I did them again - including one £100 handbag that was down to £20. Nevermind. Managed to put in everything we wanted and it let me relog in at 7.10 to place another order even though I was outside my slot. Interestingly enough, when I tried after this to relog in at 7.20 it wouldn't let me. So looks like they are giving a bit of slot leeway to help with site probs.
I'm very happy - managed to order 80% of what was on our list - it was only work suits that were difficult as matching jackets and trousers is always a pain in the sale...
Now to just hope that most of it actually turns up (you never know with next sale stuff!)0 -
hehe just checked and I got the leather holdall (w00t) but not the black bag that was 50 down to 20 - got them mixed up so really happy now!0

i am mostly happy, but i had real trouble at the start - basket kept going back to 0 items etc but when i added an item the basket came up. in the few mins it took me to sort it out a few of my items had already gone out of stock. i consider myself very fortunate that i got a slot. and i would also be very peeved if i had not.
i agree with the above with the amount of money next make, they should be able to let everyone into the sale at the same time. regardless of how much you spend and what credit limit you have.
a least there will now be one less at the 5am sale now.

a few pointers, be careful when going back to shop, i found if i clicked the back button on my browser i got some error messages, click the shop more button.
if an item is sold out, leave it there as is does not like it when you delete.
type in item number in the description and it should come up.
i did place 2 orders to make sure that i got some of what i wanted, but i was nervous of doing this as the site is very tempremental.0 -
I have placed my order. I had 56 items that were in stock and a few that were out of stock so I deleted them from my basket. It must have registered on my "70 items" COUNT THOUGH IF YOU KNOW WHAT i MEAN AS A NOTICE CAME UP SAYING "vip sale, you can only order 70 items" and made me complete my order and checkout. I got the order confirmation through email and there are definately only 56 items so it must have counted the deleted ones too. Hope that makes sense, just something to watch out for.
My basket also kept showing as empty but when I clicked on "view basket" everything was there.0 -
Well I finally got my order with my VIP slot, took me several goes as basket would suddenly empty itself, did this 3 times!!!!
All done now so I can relax.0 -

What a nightmare VIP Slot! Got upto 43 of 47 items in Basket, and crashed!
Hurriedly re-entered all 47, just about to check out and crashed again.
Phoned and explained, as now outside of time slot, passed through 3 Depts until order was taken.
After call ended, I had an awful feeling that items had gone through FULL price?
Called back, and after discussion with her Manager, the girl on the telephone told me to call back tomorrow, and check (as they didn't operate a live system?) and she would make a note on my account that if I had been charged full, then the difference would be refunded due to Internet problems!
Phew!
I wonder if by the end of this New VIP system, Next will be trying to devise another New one for the Next Sale? Not all running smoothly at the mo' eh?
Just a note to say, that if I log back in through the VIP link, it will allow me to book another VIP slot for tomorrow night at 11.30pm. How unfair is that?
