Abusive partner wants me to go back to him

I was in an abusive relationship with him for 2 years. The children are mine not his. I left a few nights ago after he had his friends round and my ex partner encouraged them to help him beat me in front of my children who were distraught and scared, poor things. And then my ex partner and his friends were shouting in their faces for being upset.

My ex partner says I have no reason basically for leaving and "need" to come back to him.

What you need is help and support to move away from this monster. No good will come of returning to him.

The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

I've called womens aid. The police on the night was able to get them out of the house and I've got the locks changed and everything.
My sister and my friends are being supportive too.
The police are pressing assault charges against them all.
  • Sorry to hear about your situation.  You must avoid going back to him whatever promise to change he makes.
That's going to be hard but I'm not going to go back.

So are you at home and he's been moved out? Do keep talking to Women's Aid, bad enough that he should be abusive, but that he should get his friends abusing you too ... You are worth so much more than that, and so are your children. Grab hold of every little bit of support that is offered, I hope he will do time which will give you a breathing space - but STILL do not go back, nor allow him back!

He thinks you have no reason to end the relationship,  he's clearly delusional and dangerous. Please please stop all contact with him and make sure you are safe

I would find it pretty easy to walk away from a bullying woman beater.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Please do not drop the charges, because I can bet that you are not the first and you will not be the last.
If you cannot think about yourself, just imagine the fear on the faces of your children whilst this monster and his friends had their fund abusing you.
Do you really want to put your children through this again and trust me, if you were to return, this will continue and he will either beat you so bad that you are hospitalized or kill you.
You and your children are worth more than this.  There is somebody out there who will love you and your children, but first you have to get yourself sorted and maybe get some counseling when the time is right for all of you.
Don't become a statistic, in any moment of weakness, look in the mirror and say: my children and I are worthy of being loved and this monster is not the person to give it to us.
You can even post a message on here and trust me you will find a lot of people willing to give you the confidence you need.
You can do it, I did and it was the best decision I ever made in my life.  If I had stayed, I probably would have been dead by now.
    Good luck.

Please don't go back to him.  You are better than that.  It sounds like you are in contact with good support network, this is the time to rely on that.
