I wouldn't be giving the child benefit up just yet. You have 8 weeks to do so and anything could happen in that time.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I am worried that if I am claiming and not giving them any thing to her or them they might ask for it back. I spoke to some one last week and they tried to say she had been living with them for 4 weeks. I told them it wasn't it was only 2 weeks. But I think they are trying to push ahead with the private fostering. I will have a look at the link.
Thanks

The simple solution to that then is to take the child benefit payment and put it away somewhere and not touch it in case they do. If they do then it's there to repay them.Kim2224 said:I am worried that if I am claiming and not giving them any thing to her or them they might ask for it back.

I have for the last 2 weeks both child benefit and what would be the amount for child tax credits. Last Tuesday I gave him £60 and he had money before then but I haven't got any proof of that. Waiting to see what happens with this housing assessment next then don't know.

You are not obliged to hand over any Child Benefit payments directly to your children...
Surely until she is 16, both the police and social services are under a duty of care to return her to her parent or guardian? I get the impression that, because she is nearly 16, they are merely treading water, knowing that soon they will have no responsibility for her.
It seems that her only motivation for communicating with you is to get money from you: if you give it, the cycle will just repeat. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Please stop giving these people money - by making payments it looks as though you approve of them looking after your daughter. Child benefit and child tax credit are YOUR benefits, and no-one else is entitled to them including your daughter. Just keep putting the money aside if you are worried about it being reclaimed by the authorities, and let things take their course.Kim2224 said:I have for the last 2 weeks both child benefit and what would be the amount for child tax credits. If the family need money to look after your daughter then they should be applying for it officially, not getting it from you. But perhaps they don't want the authorities poking around too much and find it easier to put pressure on you to cough up some dosh?1 -
Sorry meant to say I gave it to my daughter. I don't speak to that family but have been told that the mother has been reporting me for driving pass a shop she recently started working at. I was told to drive a different way but i always go that way its like a main road and Its not like I am going in the shop. I went pass yesterday to go shopping and then son had a hospital appointment in the afternoon. Since I have lived here 12 years0

Sorry pressed to soon. They are trying to get me in trouble and if I am honest I won't be very happy if the police come here because of that. When I have been receiving awful messages from her 14 year old daughter and phone calls asking me for a fight.

Stop giving money to anyone, if they stop getting money they will probably send her back.LBM Debt Total : £48,326.50

Report this all to the police yourself, ring the non emergency number. You are being threatened and harassed.Kim2224 said:Sorry pressed to soon.
