A quick trip to get some magnolia(!) sounds like it's in order, along with the dump/charity shop and a move about of furniture in the living room!
I'd suggest white/grey colour scheme as I think this more 'in trend' at the moment, over magnolia.

You have too much stuff which suggests a lack of storage in every room. Estate agent obviously not doing their job in advising clients prior to taking photos having looked through their listings other homes appear similarly busy. Presumably you have pets hence kitchen bed and covered furniture, animals smell to non pet owners. Buyers are unimaginative on the whole and look at furnishings you have rather than imagine their own. Kitchen diner does not have a diniig table so people are uunsure if one would fit. Period house but features appear to have been ripped out and you are in competion with a similar price rnge of properties.
If you are seriously consideering redecorating then take it off the market and do a full house Dr job possibly remarketing with more professional agent.

The DVD corner in the living room needs getting rid off. Box them up and put them out of the way. It will make the room seem bigger.
Get rid of that photo of the landing it serves no purpose other than to give people a headache.
You appear to like bold colours and prints (nothing wrong with that) but I would consider painting reappearing to more neutral colours.
I would also clean the patio just to perk it up a bit.

Flamin' heck! Those bedrooms would give me nightmares - legalised LSD! As Albert Steptoe once said "It looks like a Peruvian brothel!"
Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!

Fab, thank you everyone. I guess we're the type of people who don't care about colour schemes when buying a house as we'd just redecorate anyway and forget that not everyone is like that!

A quick trip to get some magnolia(!) sounds like it's in order, along with the dump/charity shop and a move about of furniture in the living room!

Thanks again all.... Fingers crossed for more viewings going forward!
I am like you OP. I like big rooms and your house have that
Decorating is secondary which most people do anyway to their own taste
It's just that most people cannot visualize how the rooms will look with all that clutter

Slightly OTT, it just looks like a house people live in.

The photos aren't too bad tbh, i've seen a lot worse.

I'd agree with decluttering your home and then snap a lot more photos, you can never have too many. Also add more exterior shots, for example looking out into the street/garden from each window as well standing outside the front of the house looking into the street. We need to be able to see the roof of the house as well without the tree blocking it.

I hate Rightmove due to their small photos. Much prefer zoopla (which its listed on, yay!). However the photos uploaded there are too small and low quality. I'm assuming the person that took the photos has a somewhat professional camera, so why are the photos so small and low quality? :'(

You can click to see all photos on one page which is great: https://www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/photos/55685842

Compare those photos to this listing, the quality is way better!

    ---

The description needs work as others have said. Currently it just looks like a bad copy & paste job. Not even using proper paragraphs or bulletpoints to make it easy to read.

Oh and I wouldn't bother painting it to try and get a sale in unless the paintwork is really needing fixed up.

I can't see the rooms for the clutter and patterns everywhere. I would agree with just neutralising the colour schemes for the now..Don't declutter too much, kee some stuff artfully hanging around.
