  • I've gone to the FO re QQ as they rejected my complaint after 8 weeks. FO have advised my case will be reviewed within 12 weeks, is this a standard time frame does anyone know?

OK so I spent some time on my claim this weekend, rather than ask Wonga and wait for them to give me the details of my loans I used my excel skills to download csv files from my bank and collate details myself. I had 27 loans from Wonga across 34 months. Borrowed a total of £4927 and repaid a total of £5700.
I've just clicked the send button on my first complaint email and whilst I am not too hopeful of a successful claim as I never rolled over or defaulted, always choosing to repay in full and start a new loan a few days later, I feel good for giving it a go. You know what they say, plan for the worst and hope for the best, that way if my claim is successful I will be over the moon!
    And now... I wait!

Same here chiefsfanuk, I paid all in full and on time, this does not mean the Loans issued were not unaffordable. My claims against QQ and PDUK have gone to the FOS after week ten, just wait and see what happens??????????/:cool:
  • Good luck to you Delete! Fingers crossed :)

I was in the exact same boat as you but still complained. Wonga came back with an offer for just under a third of what I was after. QQ rejected me. I had never defaulted, always paid back on time, albeit by borrowing off Peter to pay Paul.

Got news FOS ruled in my favour for 95% of my loans with Wonga and 50% of my loans with QQ. Very happy :)

Final response from QQ,must have missed it in my emails-we did nothing wrong etc etc.
£250 payment as a final settlement.
Guess its off to the ombudsman now.

  • Hello
Just a quick update i finally received a cheque over the weekend from cash genie for £91.99, apparently i had overpaid by £90 on my account and got interest of £1.99, at the time of taking the loan i had mental health problems and alot of trouble with finances, i did pay it back but was never made aware i had overpaid, i had also gotten a refund of £163 back last year so in total i have received approx £255 and i think the loan was only about £150 in total although i know i did pay interest and charges etc, anyway better in my pocket and a lesson which was learnt the hard way, makes me wonder though how many people overpaid and was never told they overpaid, this was back in 2010, there quick to pester you and threaten you if you owe something but has this has proved not quick to give you, your money back, anyway thank you for everyone who took the time to give me advice much appreciated

    Thank you for your reply

Yes i was told by email i would get a redress and to confirm my details, all done but was told would receive within 12 weeks and no later than end of March, i have still not received anything its past the 12 weeks now and i still have no idea how much it is for or what it is for as i already received a refund from them due to a complaint

I have since sent emails to the customer redress email, complaints department and managers emails and had no reply. Also tried phoning and still no reply it is constantly engaged

Nothing much i can do other than wait but it is annoying when no one will even reply just to tell me how much it is and why i am getting a refund
