Hi all,
For anyone who has complained with Wonga, how long did it take for them to come back to you to say they had logged your complaint? I emailed my complaint 3 days ago and so far have heard nothing? Not even an acknowledgement of my email. Thank You.
I think about 2 weeks, they kept saying they couldn't identify me by email, but everytime I phoned they were able to locate my account. Five weeks now since they finally acknowledged my complaint and no response as of yet- half temped to phone them for an update.0 -
It seems to be a long process with any PDL, so I expect to wait at least 3 months if escalating to the FOS. Week 8 for me next week.0

Morning team,
Could I be pointed in the right direction as to find all the information and what Is needed to start a claim with PDLs.
Over the years I've paid ££££s to these guys! While battling mental health issues i was taking out this loans to just get by. I was in the armed forces and on payday I would have nothing, so I'd have to reapply to these firms to get "paid"! With every loan I was deeper in debt and deeper in depression!
Could you guys please help me out!
Thanks in advance0 -
Read up first jamie, go to the DebtCamel website and you will find all the information you need. Start with a simple E-Mail to the PDL asking for a Statement of Accounts, second step is to E-Mail a complaint, last stage is to escalate to the FOS if you are not happy with the PDL response. Some PDL will make you an offer within a short period of time, however others will try and fob you off. The more you read up on MSE and DebtCamel the more confident you will become.:cool:0

Just a quick update.
Uncle Buck - FOS adjudicator ruled in my favour 2 weeks ago. UB are still arguing so it's going to an ombudsman. I doubt it'll get reversed.
QQ and P2P - they made an offer to to FOS but I don't think it's fair as it only covers the last 6 of the 28 loans they issued. I've provided what I consider a fair Counter-offer which hopefully they go for as I just want this process to be over.
I will continue to update.0 -
Looks like MyJar are going to the FOS. Email yesterday saying my lending pattern did not indicate difficulty and they didn't need to do checks. I've been asking them for ages to write the debt off due to my disabilities, I sent them proof which they claimed not to recieve. I had nothing else so I've said to them I'll get copies of my records which cost money and request the FOS adds them to the bill. I've argued they should write the balance off as requested anyway as they have offered purely to write the balance off as a 'gesture of goodwill' meh! I'm not having that. I've emailed back saying I've been asking them for about a year to write the balance off and they should do that anyway. I've also reminded them about the fine they will get from the FOS which is more than what I'm asking. The troubling aspect is that within the bulk of this email, they threaten to report me to the relevant authorities for application fraud as I must have provided them with false information. This threat is clearly designed to make me drop my complaint. It is pretty much blackmail.
Has anyone else had this?
Allegedly, some payday companies (or I'm sure they would claim rogue employees) have taken to posting fake accounts on advice sites/forums/blogs saying that x/y/x company is taking them to court/reporting for 'fraud', or threatening such.
Now, I don't in the slightest way think you are before you misunderstand me, but I just thought I should mention that it seems certain rogue companies/employees are resorting to such scare tactics.

I only had 2 loans with QQ however, at the same time had a huge one with p2p and had, had several with wonga. Lots of missed payments on my file and defaults. I told QQ I was struggling they gave me an extension (during this period started a dmp with stepchange) when I finally finished paying off QQ they then a month later approved me for a bigger loan which resulted in going into a pre default payment plan. I'm a few weeks off my 8 weeks but if it does go to the FO does anyone think they will rule in my favour?
Thanks x0 -
Hi Debtfree, who knows what will happen, just try and recoup some funds as I am. I will be into week 8 next week, QQ and PDUK total I am seeking is around £4000 between them. I expect nothing but I am willing to go all the way and escalate to the FOS if I have to. I will be reminding QQ and PDUK that 8 weeks is up by the end of next week, so lets be patient and see what the outcome is.:)0
