Two letters from Payday Express and PDUK, demanding two cheques, for £10 each, a copy of my driving licence and a utility bill! I have sent them a slightly snarky email saying I have none of these things and why I don't have them and repeating my request under section 77b of the CCA 1974 and asking them why they think they don't have to comply with it :D

Probably because there "compliance dept" is made up of spotty 16 year olds, who don't know the difference between a sec 77-79 request for information, and a subject access request.

Did you see the program on telly recently about Uncle Buck ?

If you did, you will know what I mean.

  • Hi all, I think that PDUK/PDE know full well what mrs ryan is asking for, this is just another tactic to make you go away.

Of course, if you made a CCA request, they would only have to comply if there was an outstanding balance remaining on the account.

What exactly did you ask for originally ?

Hi joncow75, have you checked your credit file to see if WDA did any credit searches?

I don't see anything on Experian, but they do only go back 2 years. I still have a loan with WDA that they froze the interest on at the end of last year, this out of the goodness of their own hearts - I never asked for it. However I had to complain in December as the letters demanding payment and phone calls to my work started, even though I wasn't due a payment, nor had I asked to freeze interest, that was their offer. I got a £25 apology put against my account. Currently owe £225

Hi Folks, another success on DebtCamel. A poster has had a redress from SUNNY, £900 plus £200 debt written off.
  • Hi all,

Does anyone have a link to a template to this?

My complaint went in a couple of weeks ago Delete33. I'm tempted to drop them a message to say what i'd settle for - which is considerably more than the £225 that's outstanding on the account. Especially now that I've seen a result with the FOS. My total interest paid is over £7k, but like I say, i'd happily settle for anything after my payment plan which would be around £5k plus 8%. They do seem to come back slightly quicker than the 8 weeks which is good. Shame my main complaint is with QQ and I know i'm waiting till the end of March for that one. Although i'm more than happy to sit out that, as I paid interest of well over 5 figures.
