and all just for someone to tell me I been a naughty boy, dont do it again.

Actually it's not like that at all. I've attended a SAC - not as an offender but as a guest observer in connection with some work that I do. Even as a driver with many years experience I found it quite enlightening. One particular thing that stood out for me was that of the class of about twelve or so, less than half were able to correctly say what the "default" speed limits were for various types of road (though I was not among them).

I was done for speeding in june. I been done before but never took the course because i didnt fancy travelling to god knows where, spend 4 or 5 hours there and pay £90.00.
this time I am able to take the course on line in the comfort of my own home. so thats what I'm doing. and all just for someone to tell me I been a naughty boy, dont do it again.
Would you still be calling yourself a "naughty boy" had your speeding injured or killed someone?
no. but then you dont have to be speeding to do that.
    thanks, I didn't know that.
a friend of mine was knocked over by a car reversing out of there drive. he was walking along the pavement. the woman driving was reversing using her door mirrors. so can see either side but cant see directly behind. my pal broke his themur. not good when you are 80 yrs of age. driver wasnt speeding though.
In one way, they were.  They were going too fast for the visibility they had.

    Good whatabouttery though.
case is still on going. she's being done for driving ... reversing a vehicle onto the public highway
    There is no such offence.

speed doesnt kill its coming to a instant stop and your internal organs dont when you hit something that does. I have a family mewmber who works as a undertaker they have the coroners contract and get called out to all sorts inc car accidents only a few weeks ago he went to get a lady that had died in a car accident from the scene he said wasnt a mark on her anywhere the accident wasnt that bad but it had ripped the aorta off her heart. She had a seat belt on also.. Also been out to some pretty nasty ones as well. Few years ago middle of night car ran into artic on motorway at in excess of 100 mph the engine actually came clean out the car and was 100 yards or so down the motorway the lad in the car was cut in half . The car hit the lorry right on the back corner of the trailer

It's an electronic musical instrument from the 30s

I did a course about 5 years back and I agree with TooManyPoints - if you take it seriously, it can be a good refresher.  If you just decide it's something to nod your way through and carry on as before, then you will probably get caught again.
I need to think of something new here...

My experience was very similar, except that out of about 20, only 8 got that correctly.
Similar lack of knowledge about the difference between an overtaking lane and a 'fast' lane.
I did find it useful, but it was obvious from the start that some of those present came in with an attitude of indignation and were determined not to participate in a positive way.

Which is a consequence of speed.  Try hitting a pedestrian at 5mph and again at 50mph and see which scenario they walk away from.  Because it'll be their internal organs suddenly going from 0-50mph that'll cause the damage, not when they finally come to a stop.

That is true, you don't have to be speeding to injure or kill someone.  But if something unexpected happens (kid runs out, chap topples off bike as you pass etc. etc.) and you hit and injure/kill someone, if it's proven that you were speeding at the time, you're no longer a law-abiding victim of an unfortunate accident, you're hauled up in front of a judge and put in prison for death by dangerous driving.  You lose your freedom, job, friends and possibly family all because you wanted to get somewhere a few minutes earlier.
