You should get offered an SAC up to 49mph (speed limit+10%+5mph).

    Up to 53mph (limit + 10% + 9mph) actually.
That's crazy that you can do 53mph (and most speedos would read nearer 56mph) in a 40 zone and essentially not get punished.
There is a belief that education  may be more effective than punishment. Possibly not in the OP’s case.

I was done for speeding in june. I been done before but never took the course because i didnt fancy travelling to god knows where, spend 4 or 5 hours there and pay £90.00.
this time I am able to take the course on line in the comfort of my own home. so thats what I'm doing. and all just for someone to tell me I been a naughty boy, dont do it again.

Oh look, another repeat offender. Would you still be calling yourself a "naughty boy" had your speeding injured or killed someone?

If you had read things through properly before intervening (that goes for george_michael as well) you'd have noticed I was replying to neilmcl who implied I got this letter because my speeding was putting people in danger. So no, I wasn't.
How do you know that you weren't putting other people in danger?
After all, you obviously didn't see the speed camera, camera van or manned speeding check so it's entirely feasible that there were pedestrians about and you didn't see them either.

In one way, they were.  They were going too fast for the visibility they had.

    Good whatabouttery though.
