It is very common for spammers to make 1 or 2 posts and then leave never to return. Or to come back and edit a post after bypassing our spam-prevention systems.

Restricting the actions of new users helps prevent this and is commonly used on many forums.

We ask member only to create useful and relevant posts - and not to post just to increase their post count.

The number of posts required is not made public as this can help spammers know how to bypass our spam-prevention measures.

If you've posted personal information, use the 'report' button under your post to flag it to the Forum team.

(access to the self-service edit function is based on more than one factor, not purely number of posts. Please don't make posts just to inflate your post count)
