Why I've no idea ... it's bizarre that a newbie is forbidden to edit their posts to correct typos etc. 🙄

It is to stop spammers posting something normal then coming back and editing it to post their junk as used to happen before the edit button was hidden for newbies.

And I can confirm, after a few posts the cog (and Edit & Delete buttons) did duly appear! Thank you
