I moved before the courts were involved, that's the point.

Ok. The point still stands that you should never leave a parking firm holding an old address for you, because this is what they do. You always need to see every letter, and redirecting post is not infallible. Therefore the section on CCJ set asides in the second post of the NEWBIES thread is worth you reading, plus the best recent worked example, by @Jack5656
But if the judgment in default was made within the last 30 days, you can also avoid a CCJ by paying it off in full. Hate saying that, but it's an option.
If you do nothing, VCS will probably farm it out to bailiffs to chase. Don't do nothing.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Should the courts have sent me a date for my day in court?
Of course they should. If you have told them the right address complain like mad to the Court Manager, copied to your MP. The Court Service is hardly fit for purpose imo, I have had cause to complain about them on three occasions. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

The thing is the postal system is not a 100% reliable service so it's ridiculous that it's used for important documentation like this.
Anybody can say 'Well I sent you it' and not send it, just as easily as the potential recipient can say they never received it too.0 -
But the CCBC will always post out a claim form to the nominated defendant, at the address given to them by the claimant. So if that address was correct then redirection (if it was working for everything else) should have worked for this.
Contact the CCBC and ask what address the claim was sent to - it's possible that VCS put the address wrong and the claim was never properly served anyway.Deltona said:Coupon-mad said:Ok. How is it difficult to find? Go to the NEWBIES thread, start at page 1, read the second post? 🙄

The NEWBIES thread is 2 clicks away (see my signature - this forum gives you a 'breadcrumb trail' hyperlink back to page one on every page) so we don't understand why it's hard to find?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

PS - you're not trying to do this (reading this forum) on a mobile device, are you? If yes then please use a proper computer instead ... this forum doesn't work well with mobile devices when there's a lot of information to find and digest.
