Just got a text from nationwide - "We're pleased to let you know we've issued a mortgage offer". Eek! It's happening!
For me, it was 5 weeks (and one day) from full application to this point.
My updated timeline (1st time buyer so nothing to sell; 15% deposit, mid-way through a 24 month contract):
Initial contact with mortgage broker (found via vouchedfor) - 21st May
Offer accepted on property - 18th June
Nationwide product recommended by broker - 22nd June
Application received text from Nationwide - 24th June
Soft searches of credit report - 24th June
Hard searches of credit reports (Transunion and Equifax) - 1st July
Valuation booked (text received) - 3rd July
More details on income requested (to support a significant upcoming salary increase) - 8th July
Income reference letter submitted to broker - 10th July
Valuation (+ homebuyers survey) took place - 10th July
Survey report received by me (valuation matched offer price) - 14th July
Valuation received text + Mortgage offer text (received back to back) - 30th July1 -

We've just been asked to submit proof that all our credits cards have been paid off which had been done before so just sent in more statements. The property value was recorded incorrectly so hopefully that will be sorted out soon. It's now 20days since we put in our application.0

I've just called the EA and all paperwork has been sent direct to valuer at the beginning of the week, he's said he'll hopefully be able to do desktop only valuation. Should I chase MB to see of that's showing on the case/application as received. Just nervous that it's only scheduled for next Thursday and don't want it to hold up for a week if the valuation is sitting there already.NW timescales:
DIP: 13/7
App: 16/7
Valuation: 6/8
NW offer: 20/80 -
Called Nationwide to confirm every other part of my application is complete, she says all my documents have been assessed and agreed and approved subject to valuation. Our valuation is on 5th August and she confirmed aslong as the valuation matches what we have asked to borrow then we will get an offer.
The wait between now and 5th and then for them to assess seems a lifetime away xNATIONWIDE FTB -

I think yesterday when I said I was escalating it because they instructed the wrong valuation must have spurred them to bump it in. I haven't had a text confirming this as booked in yet though. I will call to confirm tomorrow if I don't receive anything today because to be frank I don't really trust them now 😂 xNATIONWIDE FTB -

Lemliss - yes definitely keep chasing them. I've just spoken to EA and she said that our valuation has been done (desktop) and should be with NW now, probably won't be looked at until the 6/8 which is when Countrywide were scheduled to do it but she managed to push it through early.NW timescales:
