Hello All
I have to attend a telephone mediation during the latter part of this week.
Does anyone have any tips or guidance they can share? I've never attended anything like this so I am very nervous.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you in anticipation of your help

Neither have most of us. !
BUT
It's been asked and answered numerous times, but you should be following the 8 steps because you are only halfway through, please look again3 -
@Gr1pr
I will have another look at the 8 steps. I guess I just panicked and asked for help without thinking!
Thank you for your swift response

Thats what I almost always think, the panic mode means people abandon the 8 steps, which take people through the first half of the game, yet it was inevitable so you should have known and prepared already, like this recent reply

Apologies for the late response.
Thank you for your invaluable guidance.
Just thought I would update you: I attended the telephone mediation appointment. The mediator was kind and understanding as such the mediation was not daunting at all. He called from the following number +44 20 3831 7387
He explained the claimants case and put forward a settlement figure of £250 for the sum of £330.16.
I was given the opportunity to respond to the claimants allegation and the mediator then went away to explain my position. He called me back once he had spoken to the claimant and then put forward the offer to settle of £135.
I was once again given the opportunity to reply (in which I refused to accept the offer to settle as the driver was not in breach of the terms and conditions the claimant was seeking to rely on).
The mediator explained that he would mark mediation as attended and the matter would proceed to a court hearing. He advised me to follow any directions and take the evidence I have to court.
I also received an email from the tribunal service confirming that I had attended.
-Maybe explaining what happens may put someone whose in the same situation as me at ease :) Thank you once again 🙂5 -
Dear All
I have received a letter from the court.
It is entitled Notice of Allocation to the Small Claims Track (Hearing).
It states a number of things including:
2. The parties must send copies of their witness statements and documents to the Court and each other no later than 4pm on 16 April 2026. This includes the witness statements of the parties themselves as well as any other witnesses
I have tried to search the forum for a template witness statement I could use and any guidance on what evidence to include. I have photographs of the marked disabled bay where the vehicle was parked and poor signage.
Your assistance will be much appreciated.
Thank you

@Gr1pr Thank you for your guidance. I will take a look and no doubt be back for more help! 🙂

is that all the order says?
Nothing about them having to pay their hearing fees?
This will be discontinued so don't waste your time on a witness statement just yet.
