Smart Parking, DCB Legal court claim 2025

There should be a hearing fee deadline date as well as a pencilled in hearing date too
So as mentioned above, the chronological order is crucial ( 3 deadlines )

Read through the forum as @Coupon-mad often posts updates of examples as she finds them.

Many thanks for responding to my post.
I've taken a look at the paperwork again.
The 'Notice of Trial Date' states:
…Unless the claimant does by 4pm on the 10 April 2026 pay to the court the trial fee of £27.00 or file a properly completed application for help with fees, then the claim will be struck out with effect from 10 April 2026 without further order and, unless the court orders otherwise, you will be also be liable for the costs which the defendant has incurred…
The 'Notice of Allocation to the Small Claims Track (Hearing)' states a number of things including:
2. The parties must send copies of their witness statements and documents to the Court and each other no later than 4pm on 16 April 2026. This includes the witness statements of the parties themselves as well as any other witnesses
I can't find another date unless you mean the Trial date.

I have also received an email from James Hollinshead, it reads as follows:
Dear XXXXXX,
We act for the Claimant in the above matter.
Our client has instructed us to discontinue Court proceedings and close our file. Therefore, please find enclosed the Claimant’s N279 Notice of Discontinuance for your records.
The attached has also been filed with the Court.
We will now proceed to close our file accordingly.
Kind Regards,
James Hollinshead

I have logged onto MCOL and I cannot see any notice, is this a genuine email or should i ignore it and continue to draft my witness statement?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Correct, the trial date is the 3rd date
Keep checking your email inbox and spam folders for their N279 discontinuation document
Phone the court on Monday and see if the hearing fee has been paid or not
Edit
They appear to have emailed their N279 discontinuation document to you, so please post a redacted picture of the N279 discontinuation document below
Game over, job done, you win
Mcol was no longer involved after they transferred the case to your local civil court
