I applied for the voucher on Wednesday (the day the scheme opened) and have yet to hear back. Has anyone applied for the voucher? If so when? Have you heard back yet? Would be good to keep in touch here and see how everyone is getting on.
Hi, Same here I applied as soon the offer went live, after submitting my application my Reference number was displayed on the screen but no confirmation email as yet.
Going by other messages on this forum we are not the only one`s not received the confirmation emails..
Ah, I did receive a confirmation email immediately after submitting it which shows the reference number and some other standard info.
Ok, very strange that some of us haven't received the confirmation email, should I`d be worried?

If I didn't receive an email, I probably would email them with the reference number and ask. It does appear that people are having issues emailing them though. I wonder who's the scheme administrator? It sounds like it's been outsourced to a 3rd party company.

Apologies if this has been covered, seems a lot of pages since my last visit.
Would I be correct in saying you can only receive funding for secondary improvement up to the value of the primary? For example, if you had a quote of £1000 for the primary job you can then only claim £1000 for the secondary and no more? It just seems to be worded like that on some of the installers websites. Any advice much appreciated.

    What a palaver!

I sent 3 emails to the local companies that fit air source heat pumps. One sent an automatic reply saying they’re inundated with enquiries. One hasn’t replied. The third says I need an up to date ECP (I wasn’t aware I had an out of date one!) and that Western Power would have to give their permission. I have no idea what any of that means.

I applied on opening day (30/9 iirc) and received confirmation email immediately (which is basically the reference number which you already have and some waffle about extra information if they need it).

I'm not expecting the voucher for at least two weeks because 1) they (should) do checks 2) government schemes historically are not the most efficient 3) probably overrun with claims
2 weeks would be ridiculous. I would have thought it'd be similar to the recent Self Employment Grant Scheme which was turned around in 3-5 days.

You do need an up to date energy report . Not sure what they are on about with the western power thing unless you are having a 3 phase one ? Also get some quotes from people who don’t do this grant as you will be paying the grant back through your RHI payment so could be end up paying over the odds to get a grant you will pay back anyway. I
8kw system spread over 6 roofs , surrounded by trees and in a valley.

This does seem to be not much use. Hardly any contractors and rare to find local ones. Already contacted about 25 firms and most are already being honest and saying there is no way they can complete in the time. One company said they'd already got 70 jobs ahead of mine in the queue - no way to complete by March deadline. Also they're already saying that they will run out of vouchers. If this is really to help efficiency and save money particulary to the poorest households, why are they allowing landlords to apply with no other restrictions. That means someone with a portfolio of 20 properties who could easily afford to pay for the work themselves is getting help and some poor families will miss out. I read the scheme is already 600,000 oversubscribed and that's within 2 days of applications opening! :(
If they extended the scheme beyond March that would be a start.

I emailed them to confirm receipt of my application but they haven’t bothered to reply as yet.
  • It is supposed to be TrustMark from the conversation I had today.  This is really a complete shambles.  I have contacted at least 10 contractors recommended by their scheme, no replies.  Perhaps someone with greater knowledge than me can offer more information.  I give up.
