Apologies if this has been covered, seems a lot of pages since my last visit.
Would I be correct in saying you can only receive funding for secondary improvement up to the value of the primary? For example, if you had a quote of £1000 for the primary job you can then only claim £1000 for the secondary and no more? It just seems to be worded like that on some of the installers websites. Any advice much appreciated.0 -
What a palaver!
I sent 3 emails to the local companies that fit air source heat pumps. One sent an automatic reply saying they’re inundated with enquiries. One hasn’t replied. The third says I need an up to date ECP (I wasn’t aware I had an out of date one!) and that Western Power would have to give their permission. I have no idea what any of that means.0 -

I'm not expecting the voucher for at least two weeks because 1) they (should) do checks 2) government schemes historically are not the most efficient 3) probably overrun with claims0 -

This does seem to be not much use. Hardly any contractors and rare to find local ones. Already contacted about 25 firms and most are already being honest and saying there is no way they can complete in the time. One company said they'd already got 70 jobs ahead of mine in the queue - no way to complete by March deadline. Also they're already saying that they will run out of vouchers. If this is really to help efficiency and save money particulary to the poorest households, why are they allowing landlords to apply with no other restrictions. That means someone with a portfolio of 20 properties who could easily afford to pay for the work themselves is getting help and some poor families will miss out. I read the scheme is already 600,000 oversubscribed and that's within 2 days of applications opening!
If they extended the scheme beyond March that would be a start.

It is supposed to be TrustMark from the conversation I had today. This is really a complete shambles. I have contacted at least 10 contractors recommended by their scheme, no replies. Perhaps someone with greater knowledge than me can offer more information. I give up.
