New Green Homes Grant to give up to £5,000 in vouchers for insulation and double-glazing

I live in Nottingham and contacted 15 companies for quotes for EWI. Out of those only 1 company came out to do a Survey and quoted £12,000 for what should be an £8,000 job. I am entitled (in theory) to the £10k grant, so they were pushing for me to take finance out with them, which I will not do. They also wanted me to sign a form so that they could apply for the grant for me, which I also would not do. They would not supply me with a written quote unless I signed the agreement that they could make the grant application for me, which was clearly designed to pressure me into signing up with them. I managed to get another quote virtually by sending in photos and measurements of my house, so I have applied using that quote. Luckily the company checks out OK as far as I can tell from my research. The other 13 companies did not return calls and emails or said they weren't interested due to being over subscribed with work.0

Any ideas how you apply if you are one of 17 flat owners with share of freehold. We need solid wall insulation plus overcladding for our whole block but it will be treated as one job with shared payment by 17. This won’t work, I assume, if we have to get individual quotes per flat owner. Is there a helpline?0

Yes there is a helpline for SEA 0800444202 but sadly they are not very helpful. Good look!0

thanks in advance,
So on that basis, if you have several primary measures on your list, you only get one lot of £5k (?). I was also wondering if I could do one primary measure for £5k then come back again for a second go, but having read the first 19 pages of this forum, it looks that I'd run out of time even if it was possible.

I applied for the voucher on Wednesday (the day the scheme opened) and have yet to hear back. Has anyone applied for the voucher? If so when? Have you heard back yet? Would be good to keep in touch here and see how everyone is getting on.3

I have the reference number but no confirmation email.

I applied on opening day (30/9 iirc) and received confirmation email immediately (which is basically the reference number which you already have and some waffle about extra information if they need it).
I'm not expecting the voucher for at least two weeks because 1) they (should) do checks 2) government schemes historically are not the most efficient 3) probably overrun with claims2 -
