  • How long did you have to wait? We applied for a grant for an air source heat pump on 7th January and are still waiting.

@sallyhocking - I applied in the first week or so and have waited 5 months-ish.

Have also had to jump through hoops producing tons of paperwork that the original application did not ask for! Ive phoned every week for the past few months to remind them...

My installer said all the vouchers have come in a rush so they can’t do my work before my voucher expiry date...

They’ve asked me to contact GHG for a 3 month  extension.
  • Oh no, I hope it gets sorted for you 🤞

My installer no longer seems to be answering calls!  Will try again today.
  • Does anyone know if we can still apply to get a secondary measure? My primary is being installed next week.

I've received my voucher for CWI.  Applied in late Jan, complained about lack of progress just over a week ago, CCing my MP.  So the complaint route does work!
  • They have had my quote since January. I chased it up in March and they told me I needed to provide ID. I emailed the ID they requested. I rang for an update and they asked for further types of ID; I emailed the requested ID. A few weeks later when I rang they told me they needed proof of ownership of my house; I emailed this in the form of my Land Registry documentation and copy of marriage certificate to confirm change of name. Week later I rang for an update and they asked for proof of ownership of my property (by this time Im getting my screamy head on) - I emailed it again. Next time I rang for an update they asked for ID (AGAIN) which I sent. Officially complained and eventually given an official Customer Complaint Number and they would contact me within five working days- didnt hear anything so rang again but just got the usual run around and told me to be PATIENT!!! - Opened my emails tonight; guess what - they are now saying that the quote I provided does not contain the VAT - HOW LONG HAVE THEY HAD MY QUOTE. What a disgusting waste of time this scheme is and the way they treat people is beyond belief.

@Carly2Some traders are not registered for VAT because their businesses have a low turnover (sales) – and some business activities do not attract VAT.  Find out if this is the case in your situation - if it is then email GHG again explaining this  - if not ask your installer why VAT has not been included and ask to be sent a revised quote ASAP.

Unfortunately the GHG scheme has been a nightmare for most that have applied, in reality all you can do is to carry on sending email complaints and give them what they require until you succeed.

Yes its frustrating, yes it feels like a total waste of time right now - however once you receive your voucher all that will be forgotten and the sun will shine again 😃

    Good luck.
