Please tread the post immediately above yours, then start your own thread where you will get bespoke help.
You will not get any help on this thread as it is for information only.

Go back one click to find the New Thread button after you have thoroughly read the NEWBIES.

Once you have read the NEWBIES you will know that you can safely ignore debt collectors, and that you should never, ever 'phone a toothless debt crawler or the PPC.

Also in your own thread, do not tell the whole world who did what.
Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people.
The Keeper has protections in law that The Driver does not.
    Parking scammers read this forum.

You will also need to tell us the name of the PPC.

This whole thread is getting out of hand!  Given that reading the signage is the critical element in regard to parking on private land, is there any wonder we get so many newbies posting on this thread - immediately after the nth 'warning' post!?  Maybe we should stick a £100 penalty on newbie posting here!  It seems to work for PPCs. F F S.  😫
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Hi
I received a letter from ZZPS for unpaid PCN for £170. they say the parking company send me PCN (which happened in mid-May 2020) and reminder but I never received any letter from them. Now nearly after 2 months I received this which came to me correctly. The location where I got PCN is housing estate next to supermarket where I was going to pick & drop my family member as we were trying to avoid public transport because of governments advice during pandemic on Coronavirus. When I called zzps and asked them contact details of parking company so I can know what letter they sent and on what address they replied they can’t pass the details. Although I checked the pictures online and I was only there for 3 minutes but they don’t want to listen. When they are charging so much fine why don’t they send a sign for or special delivery letter to make sure it reaches the recipient guaranteed and I could have got  away by paying £60 fine within 14 days. Now with no fault of mine I am suffering and please advice what should I do?  Thanks.
I'm in the same situation as you £170 'fine' from ZZPS who are now sending letters threatening legal proceedings etc although it seems our grounds for appealing the PCN are different. I'm currently going through the appeals and have set up a new thread hopefully I can get this overturned from these scammers!

Didn't you see the post in BIG writing above where you have just posted stating DO NOT post on this information only thread as you will not get any answers here.  Please read the NEWBIE sticky and then, if you still require answers, start your own thread.

I am wondering if some information here is out of date. Could someone advise and update if necessary please? And yes - I'm aware of the posts regarding starting your own thread but this post is regarding the general information here, not a question about a specific case.
Sorry for the http and www prefixes missing from links - I'm not able to post real ones at present.
From page 1 of this thread:
If you have letters from any debt collector such as Debt Recovery Plus or Zenith and are on the face of it, too late to 'appeal', then (if in England/Wales) either ignore them or robustly respond.
I like the example letters on page one of the "robustly respond" thread, but I think they're out of date and that thread is locked. Specifically this part of the example letters:
Second, should it be your client's intention to start court proceedings, you must provide a Letter Before Claim which complies with the requirements of Annex A Para 2 of the Practice Direction on Pre-action Conduct:
    justice.gov.uk/courts/procedure-rules/civil/rules/pd_pre-action_conduct
I like the idea of this text as part of the attempt to convey that you know about how the process works. However, that Gov webpage does not (anymore?) reference an "Annex A", and nor does it actually mention "Letter Before Claim" at all.
Googling "Letter Before Claim annex A" on the Gov website did return a PDF from 2010 under the courts-procedureRules-civil section of the website (justice.gov.uk/courts/procedure-rules/civil/pdf/practice_directions/pd_pre-action_conduct.pdf), but as I was unable to find anyplace within the gov website that links to that PDF, I'm wondering if it's just a relic that was supposed to be taken down and can now only be accessed through Google. Alternatively, there is a different webpage that does contain these phrases, but I'm unsure if it's appropriate as it's under a different section for "Judicial Review": justice.gov.uk/courts/procedure-rules/civil/protocol/prot_jrv

    So my questions are:
    1. Does the government still define the phase "Letter Before Claim" for court cases over parking charges, and if so, where is the relevant active text on the gov website?
    2. Am I right in saying that there is no "Annex A Para 2" in the current "Practice Direction on Pre-action Conduct"?
    3. Can anyone suggest replacement text for the letter if needed please? My suggestion from no legal background is below, but it would be great if someone who understands this could weigh in please.
Second, should it be your client's intention to start court proceedings, you must provide a Letter Before Claim which complies with the requirements of Paragraph 6 of the Practice Direction on Pre-action Conduct:
    justice.gov.uk/courts/procedure-rules/civil/rules/pd_pre-action_conduct

Please can everyone (except the regulars) who has posted on this thread now delete their posts.

    PLEASE.

    WHY ARE PEOPLE POSTING HERE?

I like the example letters on page one of the "robustly respond" thread,
    I don't.  It's out of date.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This thread is for general information only.

Please do not post questions about your parking tickets in this thread.

Also, that repeated post quoted above says that this thread is for general information and shouldn't be used for specific parking tickets. I obeyed those instructions. Why doesn't it just say "no posting" if that's what the intention is? And what's the point in making a new thread to suggest that this one is out of date?

And even if I wanted to do what you asked and delete my post, I don't see an option to do so (nor to edit them). Maybe it requires a certain post count.
