Giomac77 said:Hello, my son got a letter or PCN to registered keeper from UKP UK parking LTD (the Creditor) for the full amount of £118.00 because he didn't pay it or appeal in time, problem was he didn't have a PCN attached to his windscreen, I went to their site to appeal and they have photographs showing the ticket attached and the notice to pay and display so I couldn't use the template provided to complain and appeal. It was issued at Castle car park, Jennings yard, river street Windsor Berkshire so now not sure what my options are, do I write and say the ticket must have been removed (which sounds lame) and can I have another 14 days to pay the lesser amount or do I still try to complain. The other problem I have is finding the land owner to complain to, it happened during the lock down near the end of May which at the time all the public car parks in Surrey (as far as I am aware) have free parking policy, any advice please?0

sueaththebigmac said:Hi received pcn through post from Northwest Parking Management Ltd. My vehicle was parked on private land in North of England. The full parking charge was paid and displayed on dashboard last April. Pcn showed photo of parking ticket flipped over so not displaying the correct side. I had not seen this site so went ahead and appealed myself on enclosing a photocopy of fully paid parking ticket, this was rejected. They continued to send further letters detailing the fine had now gone up. I did respond stating as I had paid maximum parking charge for vehicle to be there overnight they had not lost any money for that parking bay. This was again ignored and further demand letter sent. NPM Ltd then transferred the matter to dcbl bailiffs in August 2019 to which I gave same reply and enclosed previous correspondence. The matter has now been passed Solicitors who are threatening County Court Judgement if amount not paid in full. I see with horror I have probably done all the things you state not to do. Need help or will just have bite bullet and pay the now exorbitant £182.00 for a £7.00 parking ticket which I paid in full anyway.

Hi,
I have a PCN which I have appealed and had rejected by the IAS (sadly I didn’t know about this forum until now). I have admitted fault to the PCN (again had I not have panicked and followed what I thought was a genuine process I wouldn’t have done so), I have appealed on the basis that a) the PCN was for a minute period whilst I dropped supplies to someone isolating at the time, making them aware that this was for medication. I simply cannot afford the fine and have provided evidence that I spoke with the issuer at the time (that was how quick I was) along with proof of a permit I hold for the parking area which I didn’t have on me the day in question.
Im wondering what steps I need to take next, should I ignore the letters that will start to come or contact the PCN operator and try to reduce the fine?
Many thanks0 -

I have read the newbie info and I am still confused as to what to do :-(
My son has a 'Letter Before Claim' from CST law instructed by Debt Recovery Plus and the claimant is Smart parking Ltd. It's for £185 (1 ticked issued).
He has ignored all previous corresponce and not admitted any liability or told them who the driver wasIt states he has 30 days to reply and has reply forms and earning statement formsI understand he needs to respond within 14 days and that court action is likely if he doesn't?
He has a good credit rating which we don't want him to lose but none of us can afford to pay it.
Are we supposed to follow this advice which I have cut and pasted below, I just want to check we are doing it right -
Pre-action stage:
If you have a 'Letter of claim' or Letter Before Claim (LBC), a claim IS likely. I don't mean a letter asking you to pay a debt collector, I mean a 'real' LBC with a 30 day deadline and reply forms.
DO NOT use the 'reply forms'.
You do not have to declare your finances! This is a chance to see the PPC's hand - so send them (NOT their solicitor!) a Subject Access Request 'SAR' listing what you want to see by way of data the PPC holds about you:
There is a link here I can't post xx
You can find out where to send the SAR by email, by looking on the Parking firm's PRIVACY webpage, telling you where to send a SAR or any 'data concerns' to their Data Protection Officer (DPO). You do NOT have to supply intrusive ID (driving licence or Passport) that's excessive, so refuse.
Thanks in advance x

Hi
I received a letter from ZZPS for unpaid PCN for £170. they say the parking company send me PCN (which happened in mid-May 2020) and reminder but I never received any letter from them. Now nearly after 2 months I received this which came to me correctly. The location where I got PCN is housing estate next to supermarket where I was going to pick & drop my family member as we were trying to avoid public transport because of governments advice during pandemic on Coronavirus. When I called zzps and asked them contact details of parking company so I can know what letter they sent and on what address they replied they can’t pass the details. Although I checked the pictures online and I was only there for 3 minutes but they don’t want to listen. When they are charging so much fine why don’t they send a sign for or special delivery letter to make sure it reaches the recipient guaranteed and I could have got away by paying £60 fine within 14 days. Now with no fault of mine I am suffering and please advice what should I do? Thanks.1
