I bought VanEck Vectors Esports and Gaming ETF (ESGB) which has most of the big game developers as a COVID play. Also bought Keyword Studios (KWS) which provides software services to game developers. Nintendo is up about 50% over the last few months so it may not have much further to go.csgohan4 said:
I wonder what the consensus on buying game developers or game related stock?, You could argue the same for the producers of GTA or Call of duty which are big name titles and buy their stock before each game release.DireEmblem said:I’m going to suggest Nintendo. Just seen the new mariokart and looks amazing! So much, it’s tempting me to go out and get a switch.
Obviously do your own research, but approx 52m have been sold to date and UK retail value is £279 and £99 for Mariokart.
Say only 10m buy Mariokart, at a 30% profit, that’s an extra 0.3bn to Nintendo, and the company has an Mcap of 55bn I think, so still plenty room for growth! The fascists of the future will call themselves anti-fascists.1 -

I suspect the world may be in for a shock re. Electric cars one day.i should say this is just a hunch, not factual knowledge. Nobody seems to mention issues relating to the rare metals used in batteries, environmental impact of mining them and are these miners 12 year old children out of the glare of media?
I just think that EV's are being marketed as a panacea, yes they are part of the solution but we don't have the whole picture?

to answer the title question, the only thing that springs to my mind is Bitcoin. it's 'risky' but has the potential to 10x, 100x or more. whether "a speculative punt" is the right place to put your money is open to debate too though.

Interesting so say i wanted to buy some individual shares one day would this spread still be less than using like iweb with £5 commission and currency exchange of 1.5%. I can't find no mention of this spread on trading212.Username999 said:Michael121 said:Just looked at this trading212 investing account, it says there is no fees? How do they make money then.
