  • Hello guys, I received a letter before claim from this company on the 27th Feb with attached reply forms similar to the ones posted. The letter is dated for the 31st of December which is very suspicious as even with mail issues very doubtful that it took 2 months to deliver this letter, I have taken the advice and emailed UKPC with an SAR, I have currently drafted up the response to CST from the newbies thread stating that I am seeking debt advice but deny any debt and that I have filed an SAR with the parking company. Would you advise me including anything else such as mentioning the fact that I have received the letter 2 months after it was dated?

Put it in. It won't necessarily stop the train, but it's on record should anything further transpire. Everything in writing.

Quick update on MP/MSP contact - below from MP's office:

Thank you for contacting ... regarding your concerns about the UK Parking Ltd/CST Law correspondence you have received in relation to Gallagher Car Park in Dundee.

We are aware of issues with car park charging and series of resulting letters which have been issued to Constituents and are making enquiries into the legality of same in Scotland and also raising concerns about the ethical practices.

Experiences as you say, have been very negative with the various organisations you refer to and potential to very distressing and alarming.

I hope to receive a response shortly from our enquiries and will be sure to share this with you...

Thanks for keeping the forum updated @JohnMac77, a rather promising response from your Parliamentary representative. Nice one.

I suspect that well over half MPs are on our side.

    Hi all,

I've just received a LBC from CST law. I'm in England and fighting a single parking charge from nearly 4 years ago from Euro car parks. Been through the whole POPLA thing but lost as driver had been identified before research was done (I know I know) so was always onto a loser, would've won if it wasn't for that, lesson learnt there. Since then have just been ignoring debt letters, not heard for a year until this LBC turned up.

Anyway having read the newbie thread and most of this one I know to send a SAR to ECP-actually have most of the info (pictures of signs, machine records etc.) from when I was doing POPLA but I guess I will ask for it all again as I don't remember officially asking for a SAR before. I'll attach a scan of the V5C, shouldn't need to send anything else as not moved house or changed car.
Then to send an email to CST as per newbies thread denying debt etc.

Wont bore you all with a copy of the letter unless anyone wants to see it, they are acting on behalf of ECP but want payment to DRP like other letters.
General consensus when I was last reading up a couple years ago was ECP are easy and don't do court-I hope that's still the case, it's only a single ticket so not too worried although I know the fact the driver has been named will go against me.

Just thought I should post on here in case anyone thinks there is anything I might have missed or need to add and so I can update in a few months when I (fingers crossed!) don't hear anymore from these jokers.

This site is great thanks for all your hard work guys.
  • hi all,  i am trying to submit an on-line 'contact us form to CST Law.  You have to enter the CST reference number to do that, but i cant see it anywhere on the letter.  There is a very long sequence of numbers up by the bar code in tidgy tiny font.  It includes some /-_/s and spaces.  i have tried different sections of the number sequence but none are enabling me to submit the online contact form.  Does anyone know if that IS the number??

Why do you want to write to CST Law? Is that a good idea?

Is this anything to do with the thread you started in January?

On some of the letters posted on this thread, there is a reference number on the reverse and it says "you must use this reference when attempting to pay"  Maybe it is that one.
