I've had an identical "letter before claim" from CST Law, same date and cost. The envelope contained the same inserts posted in previous pages that gave boxes to tick and return within 30days, accepting/disputing the debt etc and also an Annex 2 Standard Financial Statement form.I made a SAR to Smart Parking based on the part 2 of the Newbie thread but no contact has been made to identify the driver.
THE DRIVER also paid the parking in full on the day in question, just used the wrong regi plate drop down (had bought a new car) in the app, so reckon a court case would have a decent shot at winning.Do I hold fire now? Many thanks in advance.

If a SAR is done , either hang fire or reply to deny the alleged debt and query the added charges
Once a SAR is done , the next important milestone is a court claim , if one arrives , not the interim trash1 -
Good Morning,
Like everyone on here I've received a Letter Before Claim from CST (instructed by Debt Recovery Plus acting as the agent of Initial Parking Ltd). DRP added £70 to the parking ticket when they were sending debt recovery letters, CST added an additional £15 on the LBC.
Thanks to this brilliant thread I've read through the posts, read the NEWBIES section & have done the following:- Emailed SAR to Initial Parking Ltd
- Emailed CST Law about seeking debt advice and denying any debt, that I am awaiting SAR and asking for any evidence on what authority DRP have to instruct (e.g. any contact between me and DRP)
Many thanks!!1 -
My only question is, do I need to take any action after the 30 day 'on hold' time has elapsed?Only if they decide you need to do something. Check your mail. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Whoever is writing these letters should go back to their village where they belong
100% FAKERY. DRP HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU.
£70 FAKE .... £15 FAKE
So far it's just total rubbish from CST looking for mugs. What we are not seeing is mass court claims because CST won't have the guts to take such rubbish to court
You can see what to ask in your reply to a letter before claim. in my post above.
It seems they have no answer but if they do their letter and your reply is perfect to show a judge.
Judges frown on legals who write rubbish
Feel sorry for the PPC's who use this lot, lies and fakery will never work

Good Morning,
A family member of mine has received a LBC from CST Law for parking tickets one year ago. The correspondence was sent to a previous address but they are still within the 30 days to reply. They have added £70 to each ticket as well as an additional £75 for recovery of the charge (total they are claiming isn't far off a grand). I have read the newbies thread as well as several others on CST and have drafted on their behalf:
1) SAR request to the parking operator
2) A request for a 30 day hold to CST denying any debt and seeking debt advice, also denying any contractual obligations.
*in both correspondence i advise of new address, i intended on sending these out by email.
Firstly thank you for all of the information kind souls have already uploaded info to aid people in overcoming these shysters. However, i am hesitant to hit send, i am in Scotland and have read several comments instructing to ignore these fake LBCs if received in Scotland. I would just like some direction on whether to hit send or ignore.0 -
