I applied for a FD account on Tue 6th Oct, received a phone call from them which I didn't answer in time so phoned them back. They wanted me to confirm some answers on my FD application which I did. They told me I should hear back by Friday. It is now Saturday and I haven't heard a thing

UPDATE - received a letter dated 6th October (but not received until 10th) that I had been turned down for an overdraft. Called today 14th October to find out if my current account application was still going ahead regardless of the overdraft decision. Was told by CS I need to reapply without an overdraftischris85 said:I applied for a FD account on Tue 6th Oct, received a phone call from them which I didn't answer in time so phoned them back. Since theyre open again to new customers, I tried opening one (just so I could get access to the regular saver). They turned me down! Really surprised I've never been turned down for a current account before. I didn't even request an overdraft. Recon it's worth giving them a ring incase there was some error?0
