We are on the market with Purple Bricks who are really good,
Apart from being succesful in the one task you have employed them to perform?

One other thing to add which Purple Bricks have in their favour, because you have to pay whether it sells or not it means that only people who genuinly want to sell will put their house on with them so you don't get the people who are just half heartly thinking about it or want to see what their house might be worth.
I'm not sure I'd necessarily agree with that assesment. Moving home is an incredibly significant life event for most people, and their are change of circumstance and people who change their minds for one reason or another all of the time. I don't think it's accurate to say that you are less likely to encounter a 'timewaster' with PB.

You've clearly bought in to the PB concept, which is great and I hope it works out succesfully for you, but I really do have doubts if the company will exist in its current form in 5 years time.

The reason many people don`t sell is usually not the EA`s fault.

Ditch / change from PB, I wouldn't even consider using them to sell or view a property.

Can you post the rightmove link?
Are you in a hurry to sell? If your not in a hurry I would consider keeping the price similar as I believe most people that were looking to buy will pay it's value once things calm down. Of course you will get people trying to low-ball.
I would consider changing estate agent if the contract with them can be <3 months or so, just to test it out and see - it does no harm!

Some might want to, but their bank might decide not to, and that will more or less be the new "value". Smart cash buyers will also be tailoring their new offers to the prevailing economic climate.

Be wary of Crashy comments. I blocked him ages ago as he is like a stuck record.
He commented 4 minutes before you posted that, but how would you know, if you still had him blocked?

@GDB2222 - because I can see who has commented mostly recently but not what he says. He just recently said something vile about one of the posters and really hope he has been reported for it. I can only see his comments when someone quotes him.
Thanks. @Hazyjo explained that. I've never blocked anyone, so I hadn't realised that you still see that they've posted.

Don't you ever want to have a little look, to see what they've said? :)

Right.....lets actually help the OP rather than squabbling like little children shall we?

If you are happy posting the rm listing then please do, if you would rather pm it, thats fine and I can cast an impartial eye over it, I viewed about 40 properties last year as both me and my parents were looking at bungalows.
No harm in getting a second opinion, PB don't need to know and probably wouldn't care.  My theory is one of 3 things applies:
    1. your demographic are still isolating or being cautious, nothing wrong with that
    2. your demographic don't use the internet or are missing it because they don't know who/what purple bricks is.
    3. They haven't had their properties sell yet or took them off the market during lockdown and are holding off for now.

If it was me I would actually get 3 local agents in, each will have their own ideas of what needs to be done, then if you think PB will work then just steal the best ideas
I'm an old fogey, thinking of down-sizing. We don't have any hurry, but we'd like to do so one day. I think you've understood us correctly.

No way do we want viewings of our house. No way do want to view other houses. When there's a vaccine, we'll think again.

No. Why would I have a little look at someone who parrots the same thing over and over again? The themes are "Your home is overpriced", "There is going to be a massive housing price crash and you house owners will all be sorry!" and when he is feeling particularly sorry with his own lot "Don't buy that house FTB as after the crash you will be in negative equity and you will die in poverty!"

Sorry but I don't do bitter and twisted.

What advice would you give the OP to sell their bungalow?

Just so you know, Crashy said: What advice would you give the OP to sell their bungalow?

It seems a fair question. So far, correct me if I'm wrong, I think your only contribution has been "Ignore Crashy". That's quite useful, but perhaps not the nugget the OP was looking for.  :)
