As for the window saving pot, I think you are rubbing off on some us and we are following your lead. I am going to start a bathrooom savings and I know Hypno and Karma are starting a saving pot for home improvements too so you've definately been inspiring us with your diary so keep up the good work its having an influence on us as well as an effect on your life

I would ask for the vat knocked off or at least a discount for paying cash.

I always ask for a discount if I am paying cash, even in shops. Obviously not Tesco or BQ but smaller ones. You had quotes in for the windows yet?

Hi everyone..just come back from a meeting and it's lovely to see a few faces popping in..thankyou...
The piggy win was quite a shock and I had to look through my account to see where the £20 had come from..lol....
Nice to see I've motivated a few of you into saving and you'll soon see save up for that bathroom ...lol..it's amazing what I do to get extra money to put in it...lol

In answer to your question....I've got top of the range windows and doors for a very good price...I am doing it in stages....I started saving after christmas and the first stage was having the 4 back windows done...(now done)...next stage was the back door (had that fitted thursday)...next stage is 2 windows for the front (now on order and I'm hoping will be fitted about the 10th April)....then just the front door to be done.
My doors are rock doors and are expensive but worth the extra cost. After doing this little lot then I'm having the fascias soffits and drainpipes etc done....
I need to pay for my holiday and clear 0% card by christmas....and think that will be a big achievement...thats my aims for this year anyway...

Good for you. I am saving for a Summer House/fancy hut. I would rather wait but OH is insistant on it. That's what the £2 will go on. That and 3 Saturday nights in April. I'll be in a good mood those night NOT:D Be the first I have really saved for anything outside of a holiday.

My goals this year are to have the debt down to 4 figures, have a good holiday and be happy.

Hi everyone....
I'm feeling a bit sad today!!!!....one of our taxi operators died yesterday morning and she was only 20 years old..what a tragedy!!!....couldn't really concentrate today and have had quite a bad day.I feel so sorry for her family at this time!!!
I am back now and have dealt with the post,done washing up..hung washing out and have another load in at the moment.Done my banking and checked to see if I have any surveys etc but none.
Today my min payment for halifax card came out so have adjusted my totals.I have also put £5 in the office towards flowers...can't be miserly when it comes to that sort of thing....
Tara and BTM it's a great feeling saving up...I never knew the concept before!!! and I'm surprised at how quick it mounts up.
