Hi taxi, please don't stop the diary, even if I don't post on it very often (I'm trying to cut down the time I spend on here) it is so encouraging to know others are on the same path and, yes, dealing with the same boring decisions day in day out!

Definitely go to Mexico. You have nearly a year to save up, and you're doing so well at paying off debts meanwhile it's not going to have a big impact. I'd kill to go to Mexico too!
    Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.62

Hi everyone...thanks for the nice comments they've cheered me up!!!...This debt busting lark is so boring isn't it?...it just seems never ending.
The price of diesel is way out of control at the moment 110.9 yesterday...I'm lucky that it's all tax deductable but it does eat into the profits..we're on about £200 p/w for disel at the moment ..this is probably about £80 per week difference from last year...
I do feel sorry for people on a fixed income though so am lucky compared to a lot of others.
I think I will still go on holiday as when it's paid for theres nothing I can do if theres a recession and my takings go down.
DH and I have had a walk to the bank and posted a recorded delivery letter..he also treated us to a big fry up for breakfast....I've cleaned the bathroom and am just going to start the washing..DH has gone to bed so I can't hoover till later...if the wind has died down enough then he will be going to work tonight...as I need to have a clean and tidy up before the workmen come tomorrow.

Morning everyone...at least the weather seems better today but I can't work as the door is being fitted today.
I have checked online banking and put £65 in my holiday fund.I will check pigsback etc later .The washing is on and I've washed the pots and put those away.
Don't know what today will bring so will have to wait and see.

Hopefully the wind has dropped a bit if you are having the door done - otherwise, get wrapped up warm!!

As for a holiday - yes DEF go to Mexico. Life is all about that balance, remember!

    Have a good day xx

Thanks Hypno...I think I will go and do what I said re the cashback card. There doesn't seem to be any free bingo on gala during the day from what I can see..it seems to be tonight. The wind has dropped thankfully but will need my coat on as they do it as it's still pretty nippy.

    Afternoon all...
my new back door is on and it's gorgeous....I have updated my sig to include the 2 windows I ordered today and that I paid my deposit on £119...plus £10 I had left over so just £600 to go then I can get my front door done.
Rang the solicitor today to see if I need to do anything regarding the remortgage as my redemption penalty is up the 31st march and he said no as it's all in hand...done my usual clicks etc.
    Apart from that nothing happening.

Seems like things are going according to plan then Taxi.

I need my windows doing - have only had the kitchen window and the back door done so far (and that was 4 years ago!) so need to start up a window pot once I have the new job in place, and do it bit by bit like you have. Some of the window frames will not last another winter, I am sure!

Hi Everyone...Hypno I had to do mine as the old frames on the back were in serious danger of falling out and I knew they wouldn't last another year...the old back door (was a wood one ) had started to split as well....my front door which is a double glazed one but a cheap run of the mill one...the wind just howls through that and we get a load of draughts...the 2 front windows that were already double glazed are not to bad but have changed them as doing the rest of the house!!!
So far have had 4 back windows and a back door fitted...next is two front windows (now ordered)..after that front door....then I'm having the fascias soffitts and drainpipes done!!!....
Pity they don't take CC as I have 12 months interest free on purchases and balance transfers on halifax or 5% cashback on Amex....never mind!!!
Had a alright day on the cab today so that's good...no surveys for me today and I've still got to do pigsback yet..not much happening on the debt busting front but on the other hand am having the windows done which in turn will save money on the heating..lol..
I'm no longer going to feel bad about the holiday as we deserve it!!...lol...cos every1 says so..
    take care xx
