I am def too lazy to clean my car....have to bribe the kids or wait for it to be too shameful for OH to be seen in, and he will get the pressure washer outSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. He had to as he had promised the bride and groom he would drive them around on their big day,and he was best man and i was standing for her as well..(register office)I have never heard so much complaning in my life and i had to show him how to use the hoover attachments..last time i wet myself laughing as he tried to figure out the Dyson hoover..that was in November, so shows how long it has been. He went down to the car wash hoover place in the end!:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I never wash the car - I just wait till it rains! It's been looking pretty well of late...At the moment it needs a thorough clear out inside though - still got camping gear in from 2 weekends ago and stuff from this weekend!

Hi everyone...glad everyone hates car washing as much as me...LOL....well it was really quiet on the cab today....and Lamarsi don't mention roadworks to me we have loads here....I'm insured via BP brokers and am with TFP (taxi fleet plus)..my new quote is £1025 that is on a brand new(08) plate vectra for both my husband and I fully comp....it's £100 cheaper than last year and TFP are still coming in far cheaper tahn any other firms by far according to my broker.
I got a £210.05 cheque in the post this morning for the fitting of the meter etc...so just awaiting both our loss of earnings and DH comp.
Phoned A+L today as needed to know when my DDS are due to go to them and it's the 26th of this month...they start moving so will have to keep a real close eye on them.
I also wrote a cheque out for my subs last week and there was a !!!! up with the office and Abbey(the bosses bank)...so A+L have cancelled that cheque for me at no charge so that I could write another one out.
I hear a fair few people moaning about A+L on the current account and budgeting boards but have so far found them very polite and professional and always more than willing to help.
Hope everyone is having a good day..take care xx0 -
Well that is good news Taxi, re cheques and a very good quote for the car insurance.
I personally find some banks better than others, i used to really like the Woolwich until Barclays took them over and services in local branches disintegrated and when i had to go into Barclays to pay stuff in they hadn't a clue..so we switched to Midlands, then the Natwest..have been there a while now and touch wood everything ok. They have asked us to come in for a current account review, i think it is just a ploy to flog services to us...Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I agree about banks. We were with the Halifax for a very long time with good service etc. They started to go down when they became HBOS but after what they've just done to us there was no going back which is a shame as I've been very loyal.I wouldn't stay with them as the sheer thought of what they did to us(and what could/ve happened) makes my blood boil.
Current account reviews are usually to sell products I agree with that totally but they may have something that might be of interest to you..lol0
