Picked up a free bosch shredder off local Fb that needed an easy repair, have lent it out to friends & family to save on skip hire to dispose of garden waste, in return i've had bags full of compostible waste to fill my compost bins, win win.

We are on a very damp holiday on the Cumbrian Coast. Doglet took a short cut to get home fast in a rain storm and I found £1 coin ! Small pleasures.
I have a nice bucket of seaglass to take home and decorate the garden with too, not sure if that counts as wombling but it makes our beach walks fun!Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/26 -

Hello
My Father died last Thursday. I can write this because I still don't believe it. That will come.
2 days ago on Monday my partner gave me his card to get some money for him (hate doing that) and was telling him how whenever my Dad asked me to do that he would always tell me to take some money for myself. I stayed with him the last 6 months of his life. Was talking about his generosity.
As I walked back from the shop I said Hello, as I always do, to a man covering what looked like a Christmas tree but in fact was a Money Tree that had grown too big for the house. I marvelled as anyone would and as I was walking away he called me back to ask if I would like one. Yes please !
(Am a hoarder but do not have one house plant).
2 hours later I had to walk Tiggy to the vets and on the way back there it was. A five pound note......
Coincidence ?
I think not. Thank you Dad.

Hello, I'm new here.
I love a good bargain but a freebie is even better!
Olio is very active where I live. The app gives a running total of the value of the savings you have made. Mine says £83 in the last two months.
I picked up three bags of organic tender stem broccoli. RRP was £2.90 for each bag. No wonder they were left behind on the supermarket shelf!
I never buy bread anymore as Olio has loaves available every day. Luckily I found a metal bread bin in the non food section.
I picked up a lovely clothes horse on a walk around the neighborhood.
My worst freebie this month was old tissues, bus tickets, receipts and a used plaster found in a pocket of a handbag from the charity shop.
I've enjoyed reading about everyone else's finds. Some very clever ideas and great finds. Thank you😀
