Ok, I've now subscribed and it's time to confess that we (OH and I) have started dumpster diving / scrapping again. Mainly OH as I don't go out that often.
Anyway, aside from the usual cable, electrical items (I strip them down at home) he has come home with an immaculate pasta pot (saucepan, lid and strainer part) which doubled up as a veg steamer, and a pottery / China / crockery 3 section nibbles tray; unfortunately I can't make out enough of the name on the base of it. *
He also comes home with lost coins, which still go into the cat piggy bank.
* Edit to add, it appears to be Crown Devon and old.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -

Just subscribed. I've loved reading about everyone's finds. I used to find a lot of change in supermarket car parks but with cashless Covid my finds have dwindled considerably. I virtually jumped for joy when I found 1p at Aldi a couple of weeks ago!

The lads at our local Tip find small change in dumped carrier bags every day; apparently people just can't be bothered with it any more. We live in a prosperous area where a number of us make - useful pocket money, at the very least - out of things that other people have dumped, when it's possible to do so. (Though not as much as the £26,000 book retrieved from the paper skip a few years ago!) And we're all wondering whether it will be possible in future, or whether people will suddenly realise that actually just throwing stuff away when you're bored with it, or can't be bothered to mend it (when it would be mendable) is pretty much equivalent to throwing cash away, never mind environmentally ruinous. Part of me really hopes so, but another part of me sees my little business losing its foundation!

Hello
lovely to see 3 new posts.
I didn't womble much in January as I am supposed to be de-cluttering. Found 36p in total. Going to keep a running score for the year.
Right ! We all have something on a list that we would like but can manage without. For me it has been a decent cool box so that I can defrost the freezer without worrying about food spoiling. Having ignored lots of things with signs such as 'free, please take me', I could not ignore not one but two cool boxes. Brought them home, lids tight as if new, great condition. For me a great result.
Now, I promise these 2 boxes were the only things I wombled in January. (Just incase anyone from de-cluttering thread is about............).
Happy Wombling

I've alwys defrosted freezers by getting a duvet and a blanket or two duvets [ depends what time of eyar it is] then getting a big box or basket, lining with the duvet, chucking the food in and tucking it all up. It can stay there for a good few hours without defrosting.

I defrosted my freezer one evening last week by putting all my food in a big bag for life and putting it in my car boot and left it there over night. Still frozen the next morning. Not a summer job though!!
