AnWsmum.. Their excuse was.. I had made a typo putting in the security card number when I made a purchase online.. but I put it in right the second time but by then they had blocked my card.. but that was Friday morning.. so why did they not contact me immediately rather than me having to be embarrassed (or at least that is what I told them) when I had payment refused in shops and online and even at the cash machine!! .. hopefully it is sorted now.. but this is the second time in a month they have done this.. they seem to be doing it every month when my hubby's wages go in the account and I pay all the bills!!... if it happens next time he is paid they will be getting written complaints!.. surely they can just look at the account and see that is when he gets paid and that it is usually bills being paid.. idiots.. the sooner I get everything shifted to the other account the better!
Welcome Pariskate.. we will soon have you licked into shape.. my house is unbelievably different since I've been coming here.. Good morning everyone!
I'm in again :j (think I'm getting addicted now...!)
lil-me - I'm so sorry to hear about your old friend being killed - it really does seem to make it worse when you know there are young children without a Dad.
Thank you for doing the list again.
daisydoll - I'm so sorry to hear about your cat - mine was run over a year ago, and it feels as if it's before their time when they don't die of natural causes. Big hugs to you.
pigpen - I'm sorry to hear about your Mum's/Gran's dog too - pets are a part of the family, and it leaves a real hole when they go. And I'm amazed to hear about your card problems - why on earth did they not just 'phone you
doodledo/snaggles/hypno06/pariskate - welcome to you all - I'm only just starting my third week. Everyone said to me when I started just to take it easy, and not to try to do everything as it all comes around again next week. This is so true. And once the windows are gleaming, it only takes a quick wipe next time, so then everything starts to tick over, so it does get easier. Decluttering also really helps it easier to keep a place clean!
Good luck. :T
Have a happy and healthy week everyone.

rumbly.. it is the Shabbey.. they are REALLY bad... even lloydstsb are better than that!! lol. Looks like it is sorted now anyway as I've just paid mine and DD1's phone bill.. little git has used over her inclusive texts so I've upgraded her tariff to the next one up.. exactly the same cost but twice as many minutes!!!! Hopefully that will do her for a bit longer!
Seems I've had a fairly productive morning.
Lunch time now.. spaggy bol and a cuppa here... Just going to sling it in the microwave and the 3 mintues it will take to cook through I will empty and reload the WM's and take out the recycling..

right quick update before I whizz little to nursery. So far I have
Washed down all unit fronts
Washed net and curtains and rehung
Cleaned window
Cleaned oven
Scrubbed racks from oven (gonna have to find something to soak them in. on a water meter here and have to half fill the bath to soak them:eek: )
Cleaned all tiles
Actually that doesnt sound like much and its taken over an hour and my kitchen is like a cupboard its so small.
Will need to change dd top before we leave as she has just used her cleeve as a hankie, the disgusting child that she is.
So when I get back I need to:-
Put loaf on
Sweep floor
Mop floor
Wipe out fridge & microwave
General S & S through house (especially lounge as covered in multicoloured feathers thanks to DD2 sticking and glueing session).
Take bolognaise out of freezer for tea
Least it will be easy when Mr T delivers later:D .
I also need to parcel up some stuff to go back to M&S and post DH games back with proof of posting. But first job upon return with be another coffee, I struggling today - and maybe a piece of caramel shortbread (think DH has left 2 pieces!)0 -
I'm in, a little late, had a nap.
Daisydoll, sorry about your cat, and pigpen, sorry about the dog too.
And lil_me, thats terrible to hear about the young Father being killed in Iraq.
So far I have...
taken DS1 to school
Forced medicine down DS2's throat (yep, he is ill again)
Put DS2 for a nap
Showered DS2 and washed his window without murdering the little !!!!!!
Put DS2 back down for a nap in a popper vest and a pair of swimming trunks!
Tidied (very basic) living room
put rubbish out
piled dishes up ready to be washed
Makes it look more than it was when you see it like that.
Pigpen We has an incident with fraud on my online accounts just before DS2 was born, I remember even after it was 'sorted out', standing in Boots a week and a half after I had DS2, trying to buy almost everything (bottles, nappies, wipes, clothes what not, he was early and I hadn't bought anything) my card was declined, my husbands card was declined, had to stand there and phone the bank with people looking at us like we were scum (didn't help that I had my hospital band still on as I was still an inpatient). And that was because MY card had not been used in a couple weeks and it was being used in a different town! Yet the fraud happened because of a cork-up THEY made!0 -
Yeah [strike]my[/strike] the kids letters from Santa have been written and sent. Must get the camera polished up (the email said so). :j
Can not wait to see their faces! I have a wee tear in my eye! *sigh* must look out the jive bunny christmas CD (that we bought on our honeymoon). May get this house spick and span today afterall!!!!!!
Shell get some black bags, spray them or use neat stardrops on a cloth and wipe them down so they are covered, then wrap up in the black bags and tape or tie up so they are covered. Works with mine. Or if you have watertight bags, add water to the bags and just keep turning them round.0 -
lunch being munched.. washing on the line... all the jeans! both WM's reloaded, DW emptied TD reloaded.. and I think AF just turned up.. I'll go check in a bit.. when I've finished eating lol

I'm suffering from lack of sleep and soaring stress... I couldn't get to sleep last night, and at midnight started to cough, so came downstairs, took cough mixture, curled up on the sofa, slept til three, then went back upstairs, but the bed was so cold, it took me ages to get back to sleep, and then the alarm went off at 6.30...
DS1 was not at all well last night, and I was so worried about him. Happily, he seems much better this morning. I've held my nerve, and not taken him to the GP or hospital, as it only made it far worse last time, but it is really worrying. I'd feel a bit more confident if only someone could tell me for certain that it is just a slow recovery process, and he will gradually stop having these episodes...I think I shall try contacting the Encephalitis Society again, and see if they can recommend another neurologist that we could see. Problem with having something a bit unusual, can't find anyone local with enough experience to know for sure what is happening.
On happier note, lovely to see all the newbies (and I didn't write your names down as I read through, but you know who you are !)
Wow, rumblytum, don't you sound an experienced flylady now!! I've been doing this since the beginning of the year, and the difference is unbelievable! I'm still not there yet, but then I had 17 years of clutter to catch up on... It looked superficially alright, as long as you didn't open any of the cupboards, or look under the beds! It took me about six months before I had the blinding revelation that:
1) we have too much stuff and
2) we don't have the right storage for the stuff we do want to keep.
I'm now working on that, in each room, each week as it comes round. The children's room are just about done, also the bathroom. The kitchen still needs the cupboards to be finished, and the main bedroom is due to be redecorated after Christmas, so I'm hoping to get it sorted then.I have to buy the necessary shelves, cupboards, wardrobes etc bit by bit.
OH just came in to tell me that he has repaired the broken window I spotted in the greenhouse this morning - and released the huge grey cat that was responsible for breaking it! (It's a plastic greenhouse, for those who love cats, so he was unharmed, if a little shocked!) I'm pretty sure that the window was okay yesterday, so he can't have been in there long.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 - [strike]
