    Welcome new people :hello:

DD1 phoned me at 8.30 this morning sobbing her heart out, her *watty boyfriends kicked her out  so she's on her way back home whilst I speak, Bless her :( I so can't wait to see her though and give her big hugs and an ear to bend and a shoulder to cry on, so change of plans, got most of my list done today now so I'm going round to OH's to get her room ready - major work seeing as he's been using it to store junk lol

Well.. the lady with the lovely scottish accent from the Shabbey said there is nothing wrong with my debit card, or the funds in the account.. and is asking the people in the idiot dept. who keep refusing the payments why they are doing it..

If you use their callback service you get to speak to people in the UK rather than the call centre in Delhi.. but few people know that.. but seeing as I love you all I don't mind sharing!

I don't fluffing believwe it.. they have a fraud alert on my card because I use it online a lot... well.. I've been shopping online for 7 years.. constantly.. not one-offs or occasionally.. this is almost everything I buy, I buy online. I am so cross.. how dare they take such liberties with MY money.. if they had an issue why did they not speak to me about it?? I get road-rage with a trolley so rarely go to a shop.. and when I do I usually take cash.. Damn I am SO mad!!!!

I'll ring my mother and have a rant in a minute when I have sorted this with the fraud dept... ggrrrrrrr.......

    *sticks head above parapet*

It does seem a bit OTT pigpen (I mean on Shabbey's part) but in defence of them all banks tend to be more cautious over card authorisations irrespective of how purchase is made at this time of year. What they should have done is contact you much earlier to check that it was you using the card and that it was in your possession.

I had a similar thing years ago when we went over to Calais to buy the wine for our wedding. We were touring the various alcohol retailers and at the third one I had to speak to the bank on the phone cause they thought an alcoholic had nicked my card!!!!
