Right.. just checking in to let you know I'm in.. kind of.. between meetings appointemnts and STRESSING!!!!

My mum had to have her dog put to sleep this morning.. she was almost 19 and had been my grans dog (died 11th December 2004) so it is a bit emotional for everyone. Hugs to Daisydoll.. I so know how that feels sadly!!

DS1 has apologised for being a twerp.. and I am in a total strop still...

Oh.. and the Shabbey are stopping every transaction I try to make with my card so I am ringing them in teh morning and yelling like a banshee at them.. or I may just go into the branch and chuck a mental.. I LOVE doing that!!

Right.. an hours present wrapping coming up!!!!.. I'm writing cards tomorrow until they are done!!!

My front room has been gutted today of all carp so is looking beautiful.. kind of!!

Sorry to hear the news about the lad you know lil_me it always makes it harder to take in when you knew the person. Terrible that the kids will have to grow up without him but they in turn will be the salvation for their mum and the rest of the family.

Also to Daisydoll and Pigpen for your pets, 19 was a ripe old age for the dog pigpen, doesn't make it any easier though :(

Well I have just watched Top Gear and am now offski to bed. Going to read for a while as I feel quite awake, but I need to try and slow my brain down, things whirling round 50 to the dozen.

One of this weeks tasks is to try and either find out how many bulbs need replacing on DH's outdoor light train or try and buy another one. A & W were looking forward to seeing the train up over the garage where it normally goes, just hope I can sort it.

Catch you all on the morrow.

    Hello

Would you mind if I join in? I've always been rather nervous of Flylady, but I've been doing the Chaos Challenge (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome....because of the mess, you see...:D) on the DFW board, and have got the house looking reasonable. The problem is, with two children and a hubby, it all gets messy again so quickly. So I think this thread will keep me motivated.

I'm on maternity leave and am at home most of the day, so I need to get to at least level 2 each day, otherwise I will be most ashamed! :o

    Welcome snaggles and doodledo:hello:

I'm in again this week - and hoping to do better than last week. Still, the house is pretty tidy and I've enlisted big gibbon to help in the odd 15 min challenge while I cook dinner which helps keep on top of things. Will post my list later when I'm more awake

Have a good week lovelies biggrin.gif
    I'd rather be watching CSI!

    Morning

    lil_me, pigpen, Daisydoll (((((((((hugs))))))))) x
    Welcome doodle and snaggles :hello:

Why do I keep waking up at stupid o'clock? It's really annoying me lol the only thing I can think of is I'm stressed about Christmas/money/the house etc  I know that's why I'm up early this morning, I've checked my bank to make sure all my DD's have come out and to see what I have left.

OH dropped a bit of a bombshell last night - he was supposed to be giving me some dosh to pay for the rest of littleys pressies - errrrrr he's not cause he's skint. Join the club. Mate! so now I've got to try and get those too, I feel like saying **** it and not bothering, but I can't.

Me and littley put the tree up yesterday, I got carried away after wrapping some pressies and wanted to cheer littley up as she wasn't well, so up it went and I love it, it's the nicest tree we've ever had. :T

Well, enough of my ramblings........will post my list up later x

Working to my own list today as the kitchen doesn't need doing barring the floor, I'll do that, it'll be S&S'd though.

    hoover through
    S&S kitchen
    make beds
    empty hot water bottles
    hang washing on maiden
    weekly food shop
    [strike]pay rent[/strike]
    buy some xmas cards
    write them lol
    empty DW
    reload DW

    do tea
    put rubbish in bin outside
fold dry washing and put upstairs

I'd really like to start S&Sing the kitchen after tea, for some reason I seem to clock off after it's all been scoffed and can't bring myself to do it, it would make my morning a lot easier though, I need to be stern with myself I think.

Not sure littleys going to school today as she came into my bed @ 5am saying she didn't feel well, will see what's she's like when she gets up.

Gonna make another brew and empty the DW whilst I'm there, laters lovelies x

I have been dragged over here, kicking and screaming from DFW by Lil_me.....seems she has dragged Snaggles and doodledo over too!! We are in need of help!

I have tried flylady a couple of times in the past but to no avail. I have been working from home, and as a result there is always something else to do and the housework can wait until later.....thereby never getting done.

But very shortly I am to return to employed full time work, and so need to get some structure introduced into my life fully, otherwise I will never cope.

My dining room is currently full of "work in progress" that I am ploughing through, so although I really would like it clear, I think that this week, that is not going to be do-able, but I will keep it on my list just in case I do have an extra spurt of energy.

Manic Monday- Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
[strike]Clear and wipe those surfaces, even if around things! [/strike]
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Clean floors [/STRIKE]
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, wipe any spills
[STRIKE]Wipe kitchen table (clean table cloth if necessary)[/STRIKE]
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
[STRIKE]Wipe & replace small appliances such as kettle, toaster etc (wipe under too, especially the toaster!)[/STRIKE]
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances, don't forget those kick boards
Check those washing machine, tumble dryer, cooker hood and dishwasher filters

    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
    • [strike]Wipe down any tiles[/strike] and shine those taps a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    • Check through bakeware, anything that needs a good soak or is past it's use by
    I also need to
    • [STRIKE]clean the cloakroom thoroughly[/STRIKE]
    • do half an hour of paperwork shredding
    • work through an hour's work of admin piles that are multiplying
    • take out the recycling
    • do three loads of washing
    • get washing dry
    • put it away!
    • [STRIKE]Hoover the hall[/STRIKE]
Hopefully, I can cross a fair bit off the list by the end of the day.....

    Hugs to Daisydoll and pigpen.

Pleased to hear you enjoyed your weekend away Dusty.

New rota for me today which means it'll just be the kitchen and utility room on my list.
I'm off from work and am having my hair cut at 9.30 so after that i need to...
    go shopping
    visit dad
write letter for friend in NZ
wrap gifts to send to US
    make lemon tarts
    finish ironing
make a start on card writing.

Most of those were on yesterdays list and didn't get done so must do today.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning everyone!

So sad today with everyone's losses. Big hugs to Daisydoll and lil_me. I've just been to hug my cat and I can see him sitting out under the tree in the cold, so will have to wait til he comes in again.

Just remembered the chocolate advent calendar so will try to cheer myself up by eating my chocolate now.

As you can see, I'm still at home, so haven't had a call this morning to ask me to do supply. Hope I get one for the afternoon though, cos I only did 2 days last week, and as I won't be paid over the holidays, I need to make the most of the time that the children are at school.

My Mum looked over my personal statement last night, and although she has tried her best to re-write some of it, it isn't quite right, so will have to do that this morning to complete my application for that job from last week. I've filled out all of the other bits of the various forms, and written the cover letter, so just this bit to do. I hate this part as it's basically an essay selling yourself and your views on teaching, and can only be 2 pages long. I must make this a priority before flying I'm afraid, as by now I'm sure other people will have applied, and I want to give myself as much of a chance as possible for securing an interview.

Hugs to all who need them, and welcome to new flyers.
