    Hi ladies! :j
I'm back after a week or so without posting, I have been "flying" though!

I was sent this today, I thought it had some relevance to this thread and that it might make you all smile!!!:rotfl:

Mum and Dad were watching TV when Mum said, "I' m tired, and it's getting late. I think I'll go to bed."
She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day's lunches.

Rinsed out the popcorn bowls, took meat out of the freezer for supper the following evening, checked the cereal box levels, filled the sugar container, put spoons and bowls on the table and started the coffee pot for brewing the next morning.

She then put some wet clothes in the dryer, put a load of clothes into the washer, ironed a shirt and secured a loose button .

She picked up the game pieces left on the table, put the phone back on the charger and put the telephone book into the drawer.

She watered the plants, emptied a wastebasket and hung up a towel to dry.

She yawned and stretched and headed for the bedroom. She stopped by the desk and wrote a note to the teacher, counted out some cash for the field trip, and pulled a text book out from hiding under the chair.

She signed a birthday card for a friend, addressed and stamped the envelope and wrote a quick note for the grocery store. She put both near her purse.

Mum then washed her face with 3 in 1 cleanser, put on her Night solution & age fighting moisturizer, brushed and flossed her teeth and filed her nails.

Dad called out, "I thought you were going to bed."
"I'm on my way," she said.

She put some water into the dog's dish and put the cat outside, then made sure the doors were locked and the patio light was on.

She looked in on each of the kids and turned out their bedside lamps and TV's, hung up a shirt, threw some dirty socks into the hamper, and had a brief conversation with the one up still doing homework.

In her own room, she set the alarm; laid out clothing for the next day, straightened up the shoe rack. She added three things to her 6 most important things to do list. She said her prayers, and visualized the accomplishment of her goals.

About that time, Dad turned off the TV and announced to no one in particular. "I'm going to bed."
    And he did...without another thought.

Anything extraordinary here? Wonder why women live longer...?

CAUSE WE ARE MADE FOR THE LONG HAUL.... (and we can't die sooner, we still have things to do!!!!)

Send this to five phenomenal women today.. they'll love you for it! I just did.

    THEN, GO TO BED:A
;)Trying to be thrifty mum of 4! ;)

Tree up in front room, have put lights on it too so all littles have to do is tinsel and hanging things. Will need to get some replacement bulbs, hopefully local handymans will have some in stock, otherwise new lights cos I cannot be faffed trapsing to the other side of town to the electrians who would have them. In my defence it is raining and also I am a lazy git:p . Littley has had a lovely time placing with the hanging winnie pooh ornaments and things, been some wonderful conversations going on.

On way home from nursery called into local shoe shop as Littles wellies have all split (she has only worn them a few times - be warned Fifi wellies from Woolies are rubbish:mad: ) so picked her up some funky blue ones with pink flowers and a brolly so she is pleased. I got a bag for DH work do as well, fits nicely over my head but bum doesnt fit it in worse luck:rotfl: .

Now feel horrible so think its the chocolates fault - but am sure if i had more I would feel better;) , but I shall resist:A .

Wilkinson order just delivered, the underbed storage crate is smashed to pieces so emailed for a replacement, but everything else I ordered present and correct. Will shall not be running out of loo roll over the festive season at least - lol!

I'll take DD2 in for her shoes checking seeing as clarks are having a sale.. she has had hers since June so they may well be outgrown by now.. she never complains about anything other than DS3 lol.

I need to take a ring in to be straightened as well which I just caught on the TD door and almost pulled my finger off!!

I am keeping my eye on Mog with the abcess on his head.. he is flopped under the radiator miserable as anything.. poor mog.. he is usually out even in the rain so he must be feeling very bad to stay in like this. He keeps waking up and doing big miaows and coming for a hug.

    Afternoon!

Level 3 cloakroom and bathroom done. The PC desk done with living room on Tuesday.

I've also done some paperwork, and still have some left to do before 3.40pm, and a letter to post...

    My grinchname is

    Scroogeyfrown Selfishpants

What did I do to deserve that???

    Really, I'm just lovely!

LJD1 - hugs, and your friend's family will be in my prayers. Given my grinchname, no random acts of kindness around here...

zacmilly - thank you for that! I have read that years ago, and have been thinking about tracking it down again! The other one is the poem that includes: 'So fly away cobwebs, and dust go to sleep, I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep' My mantra when the littlies were little.

pigpen - I'll show the photos to DD and let you know. (She's a gorgeous and fussy blonde by the way...)
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be
  • I'm not having a good day.

Insulation people have just been and said they can't do it because I need to get the boards up that are in the loft. The surveyor "forgot" to tell me!  I've got until a week saturday to get it sorted.

Got some more xmas cards wrote, just need to wrap hampers - just can't get motivated at all.

Will go and have a hot choc and take some deep breaths!!

Thanks for peoples kind comments and the random acts of kindness. It's much appreciated. Pigpen i'll let you off with the squeezing pus out of your puss as if it works that will have been very kind! Scroogyfrown selfishpants - I love that name!

I'm off to get my two from school and then we're going to a friends for tea as it's her daughter's birthday. I've bought a cake to take as I didn't have time to make one! It's chocolate so I don't think anyone will mind.

Need to go and wrap this present before I pick up.

I'm much calmer than I was yesterday. Think i've realised I can only do so much at a time! xx
