Weekly Flylady Thread 3rd December 2007

Hi all. I started flying when I got signed of work as I can't do strenuous cleaning so the baby-steps help. I've now got into the swing with the flylady emails etc (my living room looks amazing following last weeks zone work) so I'm going to add the OS flying to my regime. I'm up for some level 3 work today once I've done my supermarket shopping. Woo-hoo let's go

NEXT is where I saw it yesterday too lil_me, thanks I think I might be swayed to go and treat myself on Monday though

Lilo Awwww poor little love, fingers crossed it doesn't get that far x
Shell you're like me I sneak the Christmas goodies too, then blame everyone else when there's none left
Malteser ones for me please.
Just noticed your other post lil_me they're nice too and only a quid, can't be bad :j
((((((((((((LJ)))))))))))) x I know how you feel, and your friend, my ex husband (my eldest 3's Dad) didn't quite make it to the Hospice he died a few days before the move, but they make the last few days/weeks very very special xxxx0 -
Definately Poundland tags, just checked it against mine (after enlarging the picture, I have a bundle of tags off the decorations I got and the design is IDENTICAL) amazes me how many people make a fortune selling pound shop stuff on Ebay, that ones up to £3.70 already.
LJD1, what a terrible situation for your friend to have to deal with, you are right things like that can make us feel very guilty for our silly moans and complaints. With regards to your little acts of kindness request, I will do that this evening, the swimming group is a disabled swimming group and we have an adults session afterwards, always something there which needs doing to help with the adults, I am also going to offer to take one of the ladies shopping as I know she doesn't get much help at home from family etc. I also have cards for them all. My thoughts go out to your friend, her partner and their children.
Nicola, no you're not allowed to go OTT with cleaning as you are pregnant (Congratulations by the way) but babysteps might just help. We've had several 'Flybabies' born this year and do have a few expecting 'Flyladies' aswell. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
LJD1 - Thoughts are with you and your friend and her family. These things are never easy and christmas makes it so much worse. Not sure what my act of kindness will be but will be on the lookout!
Right off to garage to pull decs from the back, i really hope there are no spiders!!!0 -
I forgot that I have actually cleaned the bathroom and toilet too. How could I forget that? I hate that even more than cleaning the kitchen.
I'll pass on the celebrations thanks Shell; I don't like snickers or bounty at all and even the ones I should like don't taste like the normal bars. Roses for me every time (always assuming Thorntons Continental aren't on offer).
Sorry to hear about your friend's husband LJD. My mum was in a hospice for the last week and they made her so much more comfortable and we felt better knowing she was being looked after properly.0 -
Oh Polly there is a tin of roses in there too, I'll dig them out especially for you!0

Well done shell

Oh can I just give my money saving tip for mopping floors? Those of you who like the convenience of the mops that use attachable wipes can save money by attaching two value baby wipes to the bottom instead of buying the expensive floor wipes they make to go with them. I occasionally spray a bit of multi purpose cleaner down for stubborn stains but most of the time the baby wipes do the trick.£4000 challenge

Done everything barring mop the floors cause I've just nipped to the shops and now I'm making OH his fave sandwich and am gonna take it round to him (my act of kindness) so got out of the flow, maybe do them later

catch you later lovely ladies x
edit: Wehey top tip Nicola :jump: gonna try it later0 -
pigpen You've got really bonny kids.
I've also given DD1 all the hugs you all gave her and told her about the F'off vibes you've been sending pigpen, it made her laugh.
Thank you!!
Glad to have put a smile on her face
.. you see why everyone I know comes to me when they are miserable!!
I'm sure she will do just fine.
My poor moggy has a massive abcess on his head just above his eye which I have squished all the stinking gunk out of twice already this morning.. he now has a big gaping oozing hole in his head.. but at least it is coming out rather than scabbing over and refilling. Poor thing is not a happy puss but they do heal very quickly once they are degunked usually. I just hope there isn't a foreign body in it like my former cat had when hers burst open, she had another cats tooth in it!!! I actually wretched this morning his head smelled so bad.. and I have a cast iron stomach.. hubby would just have chucked on him probably! lol
I've collected my bag of shopping from my mothers finally.. and my new bra.
My stepdad has brought the money round for my mothers joint christmas present.. I told him if he gets anything towards it off my sisters he is to buy my mother something else just from him and not a mackintosh bracelet because she hates them! I now have £300 to get into bank asap so I can finish my shopping finally!! Hubby is taking it to put in bank on the way back from dentist.. the ONLY good thing about the shabbey... they are open until 5pm.. unlike every other bank that shuts at 4 or half past!
And I have the tree to prettify with lights so the children can fill it with baubles when they get home from the dentist.
Todays list.. found it!!
