Where are you all I've had to post to keep the thread from dropping off the front page :D we can't have that :D

Getting through my list slowly but surely, need to bring the hoover down so I can hoover the downstairs then I can mop - yeeehah! Christmas cards addressed and ready for stamps, damp wiped everything in the living room, made beds, sorted teenies washing and put it in the wm, 1 down 2 to go and lots of other odds and sods

Think I'm ready for another brew though.....
  • Hi, embb, I thought it was really quiet this morning. I've refreshed several times thinking that the posts are somehow missing. I've still got DS off with cold/virus/manflu (at 4??!?) but he did want to go to school this morning and I have said NO - he had me up most of last night with his requests, and he had a temperature still. His cough would also make a 40 a day smoker proud!!! So another day of juggling all my balls and trying not to drop them!!!! I'd do some flying but ......

Anyone know where I can get a cheaper version of this

    http://www.next.co.uk/shopping/homeware/christmas/10/1

I can't bring myself to pay £15 for it as nice as it is, and can't say I've seen any cheaper ones anywhere.

embb that is pretty isn't it, I seen one yesterday in Next and was sooooo tempted, I didn't see anything even similar but will keep my eyes open for you. National trust shop had one the same price but they are out of stock, MS society does the exact same one but also out of stock, PastTimes also does the same one but again same price http://www.nationaltrust-shop.co.uk/products/christmas_cards/cards/3/christmas_card_tree/3
ones on ebay the same work out £12+ with the postage.

lilo, hugs for you, my DS2 is off with a similar thing today, coughing all night so think he'll be upset later when he's told he will have to sit at poolside instead of going swimming tonight.

DS2 might hinder my clean up today, depends how he picks up over the day, he's the most helpful one out of the boys so might actually help me later. I have made a start on the bathroom, bath mats need bringing down when I next go upstairs then the floor to do in there. PC areas, well the boys rooms ones are ok and just need dusting, mine :o that's the mess, I can only see half of the monitor because of the paperwork in front of it.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Morning all

I'm glad people think we did the right thing sending the flowers. She said on the phone that she's not up to visitors yet and she will ring when she is so I'm glad we didn't go barging over there.

Pouring with rain here, one load of washing draped round and just about to put on another load.

Living room dusted and vacuumed right through downstairs.

Started packing holdall for tomorrow. Bet I either take far too much or forget something!
  • Although DS is ill, we are quite relieved, as he has got a virus which would normally end up with him being admitted to hospital as it affects his breathing and we cannot get his temperature down. So we are hopeful that he is at last growing out of the problem! At least while he is off we have sorted through all his toys so he has space for the new ones, and today I hope to get some flying done - although not too much as I would have to strain myself!!?! I might try and interest the lad in some cooking and see how we go from there

    Morning all:D

Just got back from having my hair done - if I won the lottery I would have a personal hairdresser follow me around. No wonder these celebs always look so good.

Kitchen was S & S before school run so just need to hoover through and then have a scrub in the bathroom (which shouldnt take long). Need to wash the shower curtain.

sshhh! I have just opened the tin of celebrations we got for xmas but only ate some bounty and snickers ones as no-one else likes those. Really felt the need for choccie rush:o Before I sneak them back to the bottom of the goodies box would anyone like one (then i can blame you lot;) ).

Right, coffee music and get on with it. Got to leave to collect little one at 11.15.

Decided me and littles putting decs up today:j , I may be drinking later!

    Hiya
Today i'm trying to be grateful for everything in my life. I've just found out my friend's husband has finally gone into a hospice. They have two young children. I'm determined not to wallow and get depressed. I have so much to be grateful for and am very good at forgetting that. So, today i'm not doing any flying. I'm going to spend the day doing little things that mean something. I've walked the dog in the pouring rain (she wasn't too chuffed!) and just enjoyed getting wet (yes, i'm also going slightly mad). Now i'm going to visit my mum's friend who's still in a care home and i'm doing her nails for her. If lots of people could do a little random act of kindness today in celebration of my friend's life I'd really appreciate it. Hugs to all and no more stressing...it's only christmas! xx
