I'm in today. Friends coming for coffee after lunch so I need to get a move on in the house. I need to thoroughly clean the big dining room in case it is too cold to sit in the garden.
Bed made, clothes picked up
WM on, TD on
Better get a move on, see you all later10 -
Morning all
Feeling Monday Bleurgh. But towels are in the wm, bathrooms have had a quick s&s and the duvet is back on the bed after I woke up a zillion times cold in the night. I ran my finger down the inside of the bedroom window just to check, and yes, the grime is on the inside...DH is sulking in the DR as he is back wfh. I’m not sorry to be out of the house all day.
Have a good day everyone x9 -
Morning all,
Feeling tired but powering on. I am looking after a friends daughter as well today, so much energy needed! So far: x1 WM, DW unloaded, kids fed and dressed, x3 emails sent (one of a froggy nature), ideas for DD birthday pressie sent to two people, beds made, make up applied (😱😱😂😂). Need to drop DS at school, walk the dog, nip to bakery and PO, do some admin, get ready for work tomorrow... will also be crashing and burning soon I think! Will report back in at lunchtime. Dizzy I hope the boys have a great day, enjoy the peace!10 -
Morning everyone!!
xx
Thanks to the thread I didn't have to spend my entire weekend playing catchupas a result, for the first time in weeks ALL of the ironing got done before Monday so there will also be no running round finding work uniform in the mornings
Ribs were popped in the slow cooker this morning before I left for work, will get OH to switch to warm when he gets home and preheat the oven so I just need to finish them off when I get home!
I am oddly excited for tomorrow, I am off work, OH will be at work and for most of the day the kitten will be at the vets getting done so I can clean properly for the first time since we brought him home without worrying about floors not yet being dry, him trying to climb in his litter box whilst I clean it out, it's going to be a dream! I will also probably try and varnish the top of our rehomed dining table whilst he is there so I don't need to worry about him climbing all over it.
Will copy today's jobs to my phone and work through them when I get home x10 -
Oh - I meant to say, I ordered a new iron last night as I descaled our one which is cordless and very handy but initially it looked like I made it worse as then it was just spewing more yellow/brown gunk out, so I ordered a new corded one. I then (obviously) managed to get the iron thoroughly clean and degunked, however it does still leak water now and then from where the dial is on the back. I didn't manage to get through on live chat to cancel the order for the new iron, so it's still coming today. I'm tempted to keep hold of it for a week or so and see if I can fix the leaking problem on the existing iron. If I can, excellent, I'll return the new one, if not I have a backup to replace it with, even if it isn't cordless and fancy9

Morning all. Another WAC member here - I had a cuppa in my hand before the first blackbird sang at 4:00 - but I did go back to sleep again for another couple of hours, so not feeling too bad. There's a chill wind blowing this morning, which Rosie doesn't like: she was out and back in again like a rocket!
Today's plan:
- have breakfast (DH is on the job as I type)
- get DH to trim my hair: it's getting too long for my liking (and I might do his as well)
- shower and dress
- do as much of the list as I can (the old vinolay is still heaped up in the bathroom, and I will need to cut/tear it up into small pieces before I can carry it downstairs)
- book a trip to the tip for later in the week
- prune a couple of houseplants and post the clippings to a Flylady
- put the invasive Michaelmas daisy that I potted up for DS2 yesterday evening outside the back gate with a "free to a good home" notice, as DS2 says he already has 2 clumps. Mine originally came from him
- Rosie's walk
- anything else I can think of.
Enjoy your child-free day, Dizzy, and your extra child, asb
More (((hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xx

Dining room de webbed, dusted and vacuumed. Also everything that was in there on the table has been rehomed to its rightful place. Just going to quickly wizz round with a damp mop. Then on to the patio table and chairs in case it is warm enough after all to sit outside. Urgent message sent to friend asking for a no egg, no dairy easy chocolate cake recipe.
Kettle's boiled so time for a cuppa10 -
Bedding changed, surfaces kind of dusted in bedroom, quick hoover round house, admin and dog walk done. Just remembered an important phone call I need to make so will do that once I've slurped this cuppa.Spend less now, work less later.10

MorningThank you for all the lists xxSo far today, I have2 x WM out on line, about to be blown into the middle of next week if this wind keeps up.Cleaned and disinfected the kitchen work tops, bin, floor, I have convinced myslef this place is full of gems on work tops and floors, even though I have cleaned and disinfected work tops and floors nearly every day, I also did the conservatory floor for good measure.I have cleaned the inside and outside of the lounge and conservatory windows yet again, but it is cooler today, so they don't seem to have all the swear marks on them.Eaten toastLooked for the F15's or similar, the local RAF have sent over here to practice their air dog fighting to keep us all safe, but the cloud cover is low, I can hear them, and when you can see them you get a free air show.Am now going to do some paperwork ~~ which may take some time as I have let it build up, as unpacking boxes seemed more appealing, but I have run out of those for now, until I get to the garage.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
