I think we all need a huge pat on the back for just getting through last year so any steps forward we made are a bonus. As a new friend of yours I can see you have made a lot of forward steps since I arrived here. I see this being a great year for us.

Good to know the dog has improved a little.
I recall seeing you post elsewhere last year before you had this diary and you have done so well. You have managed  a very difficult situation and emerged with a workable plan. I hope 2021 is even better for you.
If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Ren, I think you hsve some fab goals but do think you are being 2 hard on yourself about last year. If you have got a grip on your budget that is a skill that will last you a lifetime and a fantastic foundation to move forward with.
I will be joining you with the weightloss and have a few... Ideas I use to help increase money in so just shout if I can help in anyway.
    Thank you LW2G  :)

As to budget, I was amazed I was doing it, although its slipped over Xmas, as has the diet!

I still haven't got on the scales yet, although, it is out of the cupboard and silently looking at me from its corner......

All look very achievable throughout the year.
In 2020 you were learning to crawl, this is your year of learning to walk!
Ha! I still feel like I am on my hands and knees.....
With savings, don't jump up big percentages, set the mini goals to get you there without breaking into a sweat and adjust to your new budget.
I like this idea, hmmmm, I will ponder.
Would it be worth keeping a food diary? I did so much better monitoring what was being shoveled in when using an app, makes you more aware of everything.
Food diary? Oh dear, it would have been like a confession diary last year, like how many chocolate bars in 10 minutes can I suck down..... :D This may identify triggers too....
You've definitely got a grip on not panicking, that's the biggest change and the one which was noticeable within a few weeks, now you think things through and find solutions 🤗
Thank you Babs! You know you have been a fantastic help to me, with such good advice, you definitely have been a good influence on me, as in the 'calm down woman!' effect, ha!

Thank you ginnyknit - I see you have been getting sorted/selling, etc. so we are all progressing, the only way is up! :)

Thank you DIA! She has managed a 30 minute walk yesterday, so the signs are she is getting better on the painkiller.

Yes I did try to do some regular posting before, but the MH problems kicked in and couldn't do it. Really hoping that it will improve, I can be positive on here, not talk about all the issues I have (would take too long!) and be in complete denial/everything is fine.... not sure if it will be but I can hope! :D

I really enjoy helping, spotting gaps and suggesting fillers. That way knowledge is passed on, adapted and then that person goes on to help someone else.

I'm sure most of us are in denial about things, it's how we deal with other stuff and get up each morning.

A seed sown, fed and watered grows into something strong and beautiful as it receives positive interaction, the more positive interaction it receives, the bigger and stronger it gets. Then it can cope with wind, sun, hail, snow and anything coming it's way as the roots are firmly planted.
Absolutely no different to a human, only as adults we learn and make changes.
