  • I was going to suggest a joint supplement too. Sorry your dog is having a difficult time but she is clearly being very well attended to! I hope things start to look up for her.

  • Just let her go in the garden first thing, if she only wants a short walk do that, when the weather picks up she may want to go for longer walks or she may just fancy a slower paced life now. While she's 13 in human years, in dog years she's been retired for quite a while 🤫

Can you buy diced chicken breast? Saves one part of preparation. When she knows it's 3x meals a day, not 2x, she will come round to the new way.

I was going to say the same about the chicken pre cut. I know Ic3land do it.

Our Mortgage is never going to be as high as it is today. :jOnwards and downwards to a better life for our family. :jJust keep swimming
  • Thank you so much everyone, little dog is doing a lot better on her painkillers, and smells pleasantly of strawberries (a nice change!), but, still very reluctant to go on walks. Just letting her in the garden for now, but I will try to encourage a gentle walk later today, see how she goes.

Never thought of diced chicken, I found some thick sliced stuff, and just grabbed that. I know it's not money saving, buying and cooking from raw would be cheaper, but unfortunately I physically gag at touching it, smelling it or cooking it (or any meat) now - issues which I know I should address... Tongs and scissors with wincing/gurning have been how I am handling it. Fortunately as her digestion is settled, she will be back on the dried food....

Straightening out my brain is still slowly getting there, needing to be there for relatives more now, so I am trying to get a better routine for us all.

I actually sat down and worked out what I have spent over 2020. Horrifying. If it wasn't for the extra limited capability income, I would be in deep do-do territory. That, and the holiday pay are the only reasons I am not right up sh** creek, plus the gentle bottom kicking I get from here to budget/save to set me on the path to better financial health.

Just want to say, thanks to everyone's help on here, it has really helped me mentally and financially, and I hope we all have a better year.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL! :)<3:*

  • As you managed to get straightened up on UC, perhaps the majority of the (leftover) holiday pay and LC can be saved for emergencies and annual bills, setting up a good foundation for 2021 and beyond.

    Happy New Year!
