We applied on the 20th and we’ve had our valuation done today - just waiting for the report to go back to KR. I think maybe because your house isn’t due to be completed till Feb, it’s still pending. I wouldn’t worry too much. Everything will be ok 😊Ok thanks. For those who also submitted end Oct What updates have you had? Have valuations been done? Mine still pending because of above mentioned issue0 -
My valuation was done on 28th was due update last week and KR hadn’t even looked at it. Hopefully will hear something soon x0

Can I ask did anyone have to take out insurance before getting their offer? Our MB said it’s compulsory but I’m wondering if this is just an up selling tactic lol0

It's a condition of most mortgages that you take out buildings insurance. However this never needs to happen before exchange of contracts. (You can't insure something you don't yet own, after all!) So you can get quotes etc but the insurance start date will be your exchange date. If you haven't got your offer yet, you haven't got your exchange date. Ergo, your MB needs to calm downhappyday20 said:Can I ask did anyone have to take out insurance before getting their offer? If you're buying SO then the housing association pays for buildings insurance and you pay for that as part of your service charge. If buying outright then yes you'll need buildings insurance, our offer says it's mandatory.happyday20 said:Can I ask did anyone have to take out insurance before getting their offer? Thank you that makes sense 😊 How’s everyone doing? Has anyone had any updates?0
