  • Took a look at my paperwork but shows guarantee is only backed by Everest.

Further to your post just to confirm that other than salesman telling us all referred to manager no response received from Everest. Basically they have washed their hands of all customers prior to June 2020 so they not interested in customer loyalty.
To add insult to injury our front door locking mechanism failed  over weekend and we could not enter by that door. No response from Everest so £180 bill from a Locksmith to unlock door and fit new mechanism.
Anybody dealing  with Everest 2020 needs to do so with eyes open. I do not wish to see anybody loose their job but at the same time I hope the owners of this disreputable firm suffer going forward as previous customers are now doing. I also question how fragile the company must be financially as they had no reserves to carry them over for four months which again is a warning for future customers.

You are talking like everest still exists as a company - they dont

Basically they have phoenixed everest to clear out the debt and have started another similar sounding named company and because everest no longer exists as a company - youre screwed and have no comeback on everest 2020

This is all legal - wrong but legal

  • Currently progressing a section 75. Just compiling the quotes for the remediation works/replacement goods/damage repair to send to the finance company as part of my claim relates to installation. i hope to have these sent off; along with photos and evidence in the next few days.

Wondering if anyone has had anyluck with their section 75's and Barclays Partner Finance
  • Hi.  Back in 2010 my mum purchased a conservatory from Everest. It was under a 10 year guarantee which is up next month (October 2020). During lockdown we started to notice that the plastic is separating from the windows, some of the trim is starting to come off, we’re greeting sand piles coming up and over the floor trim (we think caused by ants and woodlice coming in). We tried to ring Everest to get it checked and these things fixed before the warranty expired. Obviously we’ve since heard that they went into administration and have been taken over and don’t seem to be covering these warranties. Is there anything we can do? What do you suggest?

Stop the ants , woodlice coming in and reattach the plastic yourself

As Everest no longer exist as a company your warranty is null and void

I’m currently dealing with Barclays Partner Finance and finding them as bad as dealing with Everest. They’ve asked me for a copy of the Everest guarantee so they can asses their liability.
  • Does anyone have a copy of the original Everest Home Improvements guarantee as I need to submit a copy to Barclays Partner Finance!
  • On 19th March 2020,  I took out an agreement for Everest Ltd to supply and install a garage, paying a deposit.  There have been delays to this supply of the product due to obtaining planning permission and obviously COVID-19 difficulties.  I was not informed by Everest Ltd that they gone into administration but learnt this today.  I am concerned that my agreement is with a company that no longer exists and therefore any warranty claims made in the future will not be fulfilled.  Are you able to advise me of whether I have the right to ask for a new agreement with the new company, Everest 2020 Ltd, or ask to cancel my existing agreement please?
