That may be true, but if people refuse to rise to the bait, it wouldn't succeed in creating discord, would it?
A bit more biting of tongue or shrugging of shoulder would have prevented the problem, but so many people seemed to feel they had to have the last word.

It was getting to the point where 'new' users were outnumbering regulars, posting nonsense thread after thread, making sure meaningful threads fell off the first page, which in turn due to a glitch meant they were inaccessible, leaving only the nonsense threads to comment on.

I had so many profiles on 'ignore' recently it made threads hard to follow with chunks of conversation missing.

Exactly why the ignore function was useful. Those who would wind me up, got ignored, so they never got reported by me, others could still interact with them.

Reporting should been disabled and only emailing allowed.

Well, the troublemakers finally got their way   I think it's shocking of MSE to close DT at this time when many people are stuck in the house, some on their own, and this was the one place they could feel connected. Surely it's not beyond the wit of MSE to root our AE's and kick them off the boards? I'm sure some tech savvy member would volunteer to do it if the forum team has no time (or inclination!)

Those of you who are moving to DS, (or other platforms) are you keeping the same name as you have here? I've been looking into it, but not sure whether to change names or not, I'm very attached to this one

I was on DS before here. Name over there is Monaogg. Just felt Mrs_Arcanum was more appropriate for money saving.
