macgyver said:Thank you very much all of you. I will open up my pc and look in what space is available. I think I will have to take the hdd out and put the ssd in its place. I will backup all my data first obviously and then have to do a clean install of win10 from the recovery disk, I had created earlier. Is it the right way to do. I haven't done it before.
Thankshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBLifMy5srQ
Subsequently, there is no reason to back up any data, since it is still intact on the old HDD.
If you want to have them both connected at the same time, you may need to buy a SATA cable.
A couple of examples;

Best thing for you to do is to simply pull the SATA cable from the HDD and connect it to the SSD:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dk-5KuTSoUs
That way there is no chance of you accidentally overwriting anything on the old HDD. Once you have clean installed the OS on the SSD, you can reconnect the HDD.Creating the Windows 10 USB flash drive

I think you will find a multitude of bad reports about that drive.
I would hit the Cancel button and reorder.0 -
Ohh no. I ordered it last night and its marked as despatched from Mymemory and cannot see an option to cancel. Will probably try and get a replacement after it arrives from them. Is this any good? similar price

1 or 2 mountings in a drive space might be handy but with dell not always,
I had some velcro sticky pads and used them1 -

They may have applied the firmware update to the Kingston drive. So it may be ok now. I knew someone who had one and I advised to look for any firmware updates. He did so and claims that it has stopped freezing.

I wouldn't buy one anyway. The fact that they released it that way in the first place is enough for me.1 -
I noticed an awful lot of space occupied on drive C. A typical Win 10 install and home/office programs use between 50 and 100GB, your drive C appears to be using over 300GB.
Have you run Bleachbit or CCleaner to clear out unwanted temp files, cache, etc?
A dual core processor coupled with a spinning disk hard drive will be sluggish at best, but a cleanup may help ahead of adding an SSD.1 -
