First August spend for me £30.29 in Asda, included a new saucepan and some new utensils. Not technically food but that’s the budget those things come out of.8

Popped out today to get a few bits and got more than planned - that's the trouble with DH needing to go to various shops for bits and he always picks up stuff not on my list! He got all his bits which don't come from the grocery budget but the groceries came to just over £29 and very little of that is stuff from my list! We'll be going out tomorrow with the list.
The grocery budget is now standing at:
£78.03/£250 and still another 11 days to go. Thought I was going to make it this month but not looking likely at the moment but will try my best - will move some money from another "pot" if necessary!

Another £6.35 in co-op for ham, a ys gf loaf, green apples and a bag of crisps.
The fruit I bought at Tesco on Friday has not been very nice with strawberries off the following morning, tasteless carrots and sour grapes 🙁 I think I will stick to Morries.

More spends today across The Food Warehouse, Lidl & Morrisons.
£28.80/£250 left for rest of month. This is not going to be enough. Will need to move some money from another "pot" to cover the shortfall this month.
I've already had to move some money into my bulk fund this month as spent money at the butchers but as they will be used next month I will reduce next month's budget7 -
£18.47 in T's brings me to £103 for the month. If I can stick to £3 over then I'll be doing better than the last few months, so I ought to be happy with that (I'm not, but I ought to be!)Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056
Current mortgage amount: £226,957.97

Hi everyone. Had a count up and my food bill this month so far is £349.67. That's including a Domino pizza and a Chinese take away. I gave us 450 for the month because of hubby's 65th birthday, our service users birthday and mine. I'm now left with £99.23p till next Monday. Then August starts for us, our other service users birthday is on the 14th. Happy days... oh I forgot I spent £7 on a tray of large eggs today so thats £92.23p till next Monday.
Mortgage free September 2021. Narrowboat brought October 2021

Just found a receipt for £6.27 that I hadn't added in to my last post. No more shopping needed so might as well declare final total for July now as only a couple of days left.
Total of £91.07 spent, under budget by £8.93.
Really surprised, it has been quite hard to make savings but hardly bought any meat or fish this month and freezer supply of both is now all gone. Still got a whole chicken and some chicken breasts left but not sure I want to eat it every day until that runs out as well. Don't need any bulk buys or to re-stock anything else in August so will have a think about how much meat and fish I really need to buy as I have been getting 2-3 months supply which would take a huge chunk out of my current budget. Might be better to just buy a month at a time. More space for YS bargains if I do that and could even have room to freeze a cake or two5 -
