As someone who has been highly critical of the admin team I must balance that with praise for how they have dealt with this so far. I can see many spam reports have been removed from several posters.

The team have reacted quickly and efficiently with a difficult problem. Removing the spam button would be problematic and dealing with it being abused will be time consuming and frustrating.

Well done to whoever has been dealing with this.

I've still got 14 spam reports. ☹️

I was interested to hear that some people have had theirs removed. Do you have to request them to be removed or are admin just working through them? I don't want to bother them unnecessarily.

Agreed I've got 43 and aren't bothered about them, it's more the known troll lurking that bothered me. He does love to disrupt things and if he's dealt with before a posting spree so much the better.

For the record I reported my own post and explained what had happened. The spam label was removed quickly and I haven't (so far) had any more. No doubt more will happen but there isn't a lot can be done about that to be fair.

Looking at my reported Spam post a guess is that the posters meant to  use Report button .

I agree, the abuse of the Spam reporting is getting out of hand, I've even seen posters encouraging others to use the spam report to deliberately remove posts they simply don't agree with. This is not what it's supposed to be used for.
