    Afternoon folks!

Hey lpp - good to "see" you.

No news on the roof :(

Well I am so sunburnt. I look like a lobster. From hereon, I shall be known as Pinchy. Dip me in butter! I have never actually got sunburnt badly before, just a little bit pink on occasion so I have no idea why yesterday got me so bad. It stings a bit

Today we've been up to the allotment. Because of all the rain, the grass had gone mad. We spent 2 hours giving it a good tidy and I pulled up a load of spent pea plants and picked a load of peas while OH mowed. We also lifted a bit more garlic. Our garden waste bin collections are starting again from Tuesday so we brought home a trug of bindweed/ground elder/gerneral carp from the allotment to dispose of. We'll be gradually whittling it down over the next couple of weeks thank goodness.
An old boy came over and told me that my courgette plants were too close together (I know). I followed the instructions on the packet but it was very evident that they were too close.

The order of the afternoon is cooking. There's currently a big spag bol on and I need to prep tomorrow's lunches. OH will be turning some of the spag bol into lasagne.

Also had a quick wiffle into the garden, mowed our lawn and picked some ripe blackcurrants.

It's also the local derby match today between two very famous premier league teams. One neighbour is a "red" and the other is a "blue". OH is nominally a "blue" but doesn't really care. However, my "blue" neighbour has kindly left OH a can of beer, amusingly named "Barnard Castle Eye Test" as it's described as a hazy beer

Other than that, i just need to prep things, and myself for the week ahead. And feel very thankful it's not due to pour down all week!

    Have a good afternoon folks
